Aerts Doubles Through Buldygin

Level 11 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Pieter Aerts had his stack of around 100,000 in the middle and was put at risk by Viacheslav Buldygin.

Pieter Aerts: 77 All in
Viacheslav Buldygin: KQ

It looked to be the end of the road for Aerts after the 4Q5 flop gave Buldygin a pair of queens. However, Aerts found a set on the 7 turn to lock up the pot. A meaningless 5 on the river gave him a full house, and kept him alive.

Wakil Storms to the Top

Level 11 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

A huge pot of around 750,000 had brewed between Jamil Wakil and Aleksandr Chernikov.

The board read 38KK3 and Wakil announced a bet of 350,000, which gave Chernikov a decision. The Russian player used some extra time, but ultimately decided on a fold, which meant Wakil jumped into the chip lead.

Adamszki Wins a Flip Against Bezhanyan

Level 11 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Tamas Adamszki
Tamas Adamszki

Aren Bezhanyan raised to 25,000 from the hijack and Damir Zhugralin called in the small blind before Tamas Adamszki shoved the big blind for 151,000. Bezhanyan called, and Zhugralin got out of the way.

Tamas Adamszki: KQ All in
Aren Bezhanyan: JJ

Adamszki needed to win a flip, but that didn't seem likely after the 749 flop kept the jacks of Bezhanyan in the lead. Though, their fortunes changed when the K hit the turn as Adamszki leapt into the lead with a pair of kings. Only a jack on the river would send Adamszki packing, but the 8 river wasn't it, which meant he doubled up.

Kenney Finds a Two-Outer to Survive

Level 11 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Bryn Kenney shoved from the button for 105,000 and Adrian Strobel reshoved from the small blind.

Bryn Kenney: A9 All in
Adrian Strobel: QQ

Kenney was in rough shape, and it didn't get better on the K6J flop. A 10 on the turn made it even worse as only a queen on the river could save him, which meant he had two outs.

Nevertheless, Kenney remained in contention as the Q on the river gave him a straight, much to the dismay of Strobel.

Hissou Leads Into Kenney

Level 10 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Bryn Kenney registered at the last possible moment and took his seat on the same table as Sirzat Hissou. Kenney made it 20,000 to go from middle position, and Hissou called in the big blind.

The flop came 462 and Hissou check-called a bet of 35,000 from Kenney to see the 6 turn, where he decided to lead for 82,000. Kenney quickly folded.

Daher Hits Seven Figures After Flipping Out Biskin

Level 10 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Albert Daher
Albert Daher

Albert Daher raised the cutoff to 20,000 and Mehmet Biskin shoved around 210,000 from the button. When it got back to Daher, he asked for a count, took a few bites of his salad, then announced a call.

Mehmet Biskin: 44 All in
Albert Daher: AQ

Biskin was flipping for his tournament life, and got off to a bad start as Daher paired his queen on the 8JQ flop. No fours arrived on either the K turn or J river, and Biskin was out the door.
