A total of 169 entries have been tallied so far in the $25,750 SHRS Main Event, with 76 players taking part in Day 1a and another 93 joining in Day 1b. The event carries a $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, which will be finalized after the last starting flight.
The Turbo Day 1 kicks off at 8:30 p.m. and features 20-minute levels, giving players one final opportunity to secure a stack for Day 2.
Aleksandr Chernikov raised the cutoff and Jessica Teusl called on the button.
They saw a flop of 4♣8♦Q♣, where Chernikov continued for 23,000 and Teusl called to the 10♠ turn. Chernikov, at lightning speed, bet 72,000, and Teusl took a few moments before she again called.
When the 8♣ hit the river, both players checked it down and Chernikov flipped K♠2♠ for just king-high. That was no good as Teusl had flopped a pair of queens with Q♥J♠ to win the pot.

"Kenar" started Day 1b by eliminating two players and building a stack early on. That stack has since grown, but he just a lost a little in the last hand.
"Kenar" made it 16,000 from the cutoff and Leon Sturm called in the big blind to see a flop of 3♥8♥K♥. Sturm check-called a bet of 14,000 from "Kenar" to the Q♠ turn, where both checked.
A 10♥ on the river put four hearts on board and Sturm decided to lead out for 18,000, which was enough to make "Kenar" fold.

Danny Tang hadn't long been in his seat before he found himself in a tough river spot against Hakim Zoufri.
The previous action was missed but on an 3♠6♦7♦8♠7♣ board, Hakim Zoufri threw out a pot-sized bet of 90,000 on the river from the small blind. Tang was under the gun and thought it over for a while before he stuck in the call.
Zoufri then showed J♥10♥ for just jack-high, and Tang flipped A♠Q♠ for ace-high to scoop the pot.

A pot of around 100,000 suddenly exploded between Aren Bezhanyan and Mehmet Biskin on a board of 9♦5♠9♠10♣.
Bezhanyan had bet 55,000 and Biskin had made it 215,000 to go. After some time, Bezhanyan shoved 344,500, and Biskin snap-called.

With around 40,000 in the middle on a board of 2♠8♦3♣, Pieter Aerts checked from the small blind and then called a bet of 25,000 from "Dubai Police", who was in the big blind.
The J♦ hit the turn and after Aerts checked it over again, "Dubai Police" shoved 117,000. Aerts had around 200,000 behind and after getting the exact count, he decided to let it go.
