Delaney: makes a play to get the pay
Delaney: makes a play to get the pay
Ben 'CNT_CRUSHER' Delaney made it 2,100 to go under the gun preflop, only to find Andrew 'Adgee' Jeffreys calling from late position.

"Have you got a monster, Benny?" Jeffreys asked with a grin.

Delaney shook his head in silence but said more than enough when he opened for 3,000 on the flop which read {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. Jeffreys threw in his hand and Delaney added his newly acquired chips to increase his stack up to 38,000.

Julius Colman Eliminated

Julius Colman has been eliminated after moving all in over a preflop raise from middle position. The opponent called and tabled {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Colman tabled {A-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

"Drop the six" called Kenneth Damm who had the $10 prop bet with Colman.

He didn't the need the six, the board ran out {5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} to send Colman out of day 1A of the main event.

Colman made good on his wager much to the delight of Damm who turned to his table and said tounge in cheek "You guys may bubble on day two, but i've already locked in a $30 win!".

Zedveron Doubles

Damien "zedveron" Elsing
Damien "zedveron" Elsing
Damien "zedveron" Elsing has doubled up with pocket Aces.

All the money went in on a flop of {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} with Elsing's opponent holding {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The turn {5-Diamonds} made both players two pair, and just as well for Zedveron as the river was the {10-Hearts} which would have given his opponent the suck-out but for the turn.

Elsing has 45,000.

Levy Steals Cardno's Joy

Levy crushed Cardno's dreams of having a stack to play with
Levy crushed Cardno's dreams of having a stack to play with
Not long after doubling up Martin Cardno finally thought he would make some progress for the day. It was not to be.

Grant Levy opened to 1,700 and Cardno made it 3,500. Levy moved all in for 15,200 and Cardno made the call leaving just 9,100 behind.

Levy {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Cardno {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} to send Levy up to 41,000.

Cardno has the work to do again from the short-stack.

Curly Straightened Out

Seal: never gonna survive unless you get a little crazy ...
Seal: never gonna survive unless you get a little crazy ...
Emmanuel 'Curly' Seal has been busted from this tournament courtesy of Robert Wang.

An opponent in middle position raised it up to 1,700 preflop, Wang made the call from the hijack position and Seal reraised all in for 12,000 from the button. The player in middle position mucked and Wang snap-called.

Wang: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Seal: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts}, sending Seal slip-sliding away. Wang moves on up to 96,000 in chips.

The World Of High Stakes Gambling

High stakes degen gamblor?
High stakes degen gamblor?
We have some last longer action going between Kenneth Damm, Julian Colman and another player who has already busted.

All three players were short-stacked at the time they made the deal to add a bit extra spice to the tournament.

The stakes for the bet?

Not a $1,000 each, nor $100 each, they've really got the high stakes going at $10 a head. The winner might be able to buy three drinks at the Las Vegas Bar at that price.

Coleman is looking good to scoop the massive side bet at the moment sitting with 15,300 to Damm's 6,500.

Walsh Under Pressure

Walsh: a minor setback in the grand scheme of things
Walsh: a minor setback in the grand scheme of things
It was three-way action between Lisa Walsh and two other players who all limped in to see a flop of {Q-?}{Q-?}{J-?}.

Walsh led out for 10,000 but quickly let go of her hand after her opponent in the cutoff moved all in over the top.

As a result, Walsh is now down to 50,000 in chips. However she wouldn't be too worried, having confirmed the stories floating around the Crown Poker Room of her stellar form in two recent cash game sessions.

Adgee On The Up

Andrew Jeffreys is continuing here in the main event
Andrew Jeffreys is continuing here in the main event
Preflop Andrew Jeffreys opened to 1,500 from middle position with the small blind making the call. The big blind then popped it up to 6,600 with both other players making the call.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Spades} and the small blind checked. The big blind moved all in for 32,000 and Andrew Jeffreys snap called. The small blind folded.

Big Blind {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Jeffreys {7-Spades}{6-Spades}

Jeffreys needed to hit to stay alive and the turn {7-Diamonds} got him out in front in a way he probably didn't expect. It didn't matter his flush draw came in on the river {3-Spades} anyway.

Jeffreys moves up to 92,000.

Krautschneider Cut Out

Krautschneider: KO'ed
Krautschneider: KO'ed
Karl Krautschneider has been eliminated from this event after another big hand played out on table 29.

Krautschneider had his last 19,350 in the middle before the flop, along with the opponent on the small blind who was also all in for 12,225 and Jie Gao who had them both covered.

Gao: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Krautschneider: {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The flop of {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts} gave more hope to Krautschneider with both the flush draw and the runner-runner straight draw. However that hope began to fade when the turn spiked the {5-Spades}.

Needing any heart, the river ran red - in the form of the {5-Diamonds}, thus sending Krautschneider to the rail and the pot was chopped between Gao and the other opponent.
