Action was opened in early position to 700. It folded all the way to Daniel McGinnis on the button who called and the blinds folded.

The K86 flop was checked over to McGinnis who put out a bet of 800. The original raiser called.

The 7 landed on the turn and the early position player checked again. McGinnis put out another bet of 1,500. The player in early position sat in the tank for about a minute before putting in a turn check-raise to 3,500. McGinnis took his time but eventually called.

The 10 river landed and the player in early position led out for another 3,500 bet. McGinnis sat in the tank for about a minute but eventually stuck in the chips and got the good news.

The original raiser rolled over QQ for just second pair and McGinnis tabled 67 for a turned two pair. He would scoop after making a couple smart calls in position.

Action was joined on a flop of 697. The small blind checked over to Anh Dang in late position, who put out a bet of 1,100. The small blind only thought for a moment before putting in a check-raise to the tune of 3,500. Dang quickly called.

The 2 landed on the turn and the small blind open-jammed, having Dang covered. Dang sat in the tank for about 30 seconds before putting in the chips for her tournament life.

A player in early position opened to 300. Erica Tauss put in a three-bet to 1,100. The action folded to the small blind, who cold-called and the original raiser came along too.

The players were three ways to a flop of Q56 and action checked to Tauss, who put out another bet of 1,600. Only the small blind called.

The 7 landed on the turn and the small blind check-called another bet from Tauss of 3,000.

The river 9 put four to a straight on board and it was checked to Tauss once more. She thought over her options but eventually checked back and saw the good news. The small blind tabled AQ for top pair, top kicker and Tauss tabled QQ for a flopped top set.

Tauss scooped the pot to get a much needed influx of chips early on.
