Yurasov Wins the $1,050 Super Tuesday, Spraggy Busts in 12th

Dmitry Yurasov
Dmitry Yurasov

Belarusian Dmitry "yurasov1990" Yurasov made it three WCOOP victories by taking down the $1,050 edition of the Super Tuesday. Yurasov outlasted 347 opponents and collected $59,161 of the $350,000 prize pool. His prize would have been larger had he not struck a heads-up deal with Latvian Pavels "Rigapols81" Spirins.

Only 39 players returned for this event's Day 2, PokerStars ambassador Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg among them. Spragg progressed to the final two tables, but came unstuck in 12th place, a finish good for $5,723. "go4gunners" popped the final table bubble when they fell in tenth.

The final table was a cosmopolitan affair, with eight countries represented. Niklas "Lena900" Astedt of Sweden was eliminated in ninth before Denmark's "starswins :)" and Bulgarian ace Ognyan "cocojamb0" Dimov followed suit. Brazilian duo "mattheusttcm" and Davi "DaviMMaker" Cola were the next to head for the exits before "benmiller500" and "JustTrappedU2 of the United Kingdom and Austria crashed by the wayside, leaving Yurasov heads-up against Spirins.

The heads-up duo struck a deal before continuing the tournament. Yurasov got the job done to become a three-time WCOOP champion.

go4gunners Wins $5,200 Super Tuesday for Third WCOOP and $123K

Super Tuesday High Roller
Super Tuesday High Roller

A third WCOOP title and $123,282 belong to Austrian star "go4gunners" after they came out on top in the $5,200 edition of the Super Tuesday. A field of 107 entrants created a $535,000 prize pool, and the Austrian raked in the lion's share of that princely sum.

As you would expect from such a high-stakes event, the Super Tuesday High Roller featured an all-star cast. Almost every entrant was a household name in the online poker world, but "go4gunners" left them all in their wake.

At the final table, "go4gunners" contended with Marius "DEX88" Gierse, Dejan "dejanlc357" Kaladjurdjevic, Mark "AceSpades11" Radoja, and Alexandros "Pwndidi" Theologis before eventually finding themselves heads-up against fellow Austrian "chrisgoatui."

"go4gunners" got the better of their opponent in the one-on-one battle, and emerged as a worthy champion.

The 2025 WCOOP NLHE Main Events Shuffle Up and Deal This Weekend

Samuel Vousden and Nikita Kuznetcov

It seems like only yesterday that the 2025 World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) exploded into action at PokerStars, yet here we are, talking about the massive No-Limit Hold'em Main Events. Three such tournaments kick off at 5:30 p.m. BST on September 28; that's this coming Sunday! All three are four-day events, boasting incredible structures that ensure the cream will rise to the top.

The WCOOP Main Events have buy-ins of $109, $1,050, and a gigantic $10,300. The guarantees for those tournaments are $2 million, $3 million, and $4 million, respectively.

Last year, Samuel Vousden was the last man standing in the $10,300 WCOOP Main Event. The Finn navigated past 501 opponents on his way to collecting a $1,007,058 top prize.

All eight finalists in the $10,300 Main Event turned their initial investment into at least six figures. Preben "prebs" Stokkan, "Natrium111," Joao "IneedMassari" Simao, and Darrell "FourSixFour" Goh were the first casualties of the final table. Brazil's Davi "DaviMMaker" Cola busted in fourth, with Guillaume "Nolet20" Nolet bowing out in third for almost half a million dollars.

Vousden then defeated French-Canadian Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois heads-up and reeled in a seven-figure prize!

Back in 2019, Canada's "sandman201" took down the $1,050 H.O.R.S.E. event for his first WCOOP title and $34,148. Fast forward six years, and they have won the same tournament again, for their fourth title and another $20,253.

The champion found themselves battling against some of PokerStars' top-tier grinders once they reached the final table. Such luminaries as "king153246," Renan "Internett93o" Bruschi, Christian "CMoosepower" Elgstrom, and "FAL1st" were present and correct. "sandman201" defeated Finland's "O.Klunssila" heads-up and reeled in WCOOP victory number four.

According to The Hendon Mob Database, "sandman201" is Canadian grinder Thomas Taylor, a mixed game specialist with more than $2.7 million in live tournament earnings. "sandman201"'s prowess in mixed game WCOOP events seems to add some credit to that narrative. In addition to the pair of $1,050 H.O.R.S.E. events they've won, "sandman201" was also crowned a $109 Badugi champion in 2019 and the $2,100 World Champion of 8-Game in 2024.

Several marquee events are set to play down to winners today in the 2025 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), with the spotlight firmly on the Super Tuesday trio (WCOOP 86-L/M/H).

The $215 Super Tuesday (WCOOP 86-L) drew 1,185 entries to build a $237,000 prize pool, with $37,272 awaiting the eventual champion. The $1,050 edition (WCOOP 86-M) attracted 348 runners, generating a $350,000 pool. Just 39 remain, with PokerStars ambassador Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg sitting 23rd in chips. Spraggy is the only player from the PokerStars team to have himself a Day 2 sweat. The winner will take home $65,046.

The biggest buy-in, the $5,200 Super Tuesday High Roller (WCOOP 86-H), created a prize pool of $535,000 from 107 entries. Only 13 players remain, led by "chrisgoatau1" (2,062,060), with "go4gunners" (1,860,869) and 2025 SCOOP Main Event third-place finisher Mark “AceSpades11” Radoja (1,245,307) close behind.

Alex “Pwndidi” Theologis (1,097,094) and Dejan “dejanlc357” Kaladjurdjevic (982,313) are also well placed, while Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson, high-stakes regular "DEX888", and Vladimir “SerVlaMin” Minko remain in contention. The eventual winner will walk away with $123,283.

What’s Happening in WCOOP Today (Sept 24)

WCOOP
WCOOP

WCOOP rolls into Wednesday with a packed slate that blends mixed games, mystery bounties, and plenty of turbo action.

The day begins with a triple shot of H.O.R.S.E. as players test their all-around skills across the $11, $109, and $1,050 buy-ins (WCOOP 88-L/M/H). Later in the afternoon, the spotlight turns to one of the series’ most popular formats: the Mystery Bounty Builder High Roller. Three editions kick off — a $22 “Micro,” a $109 “Mini,” and the $530 High Roller (WCOOP 89-L/M/H), each carrying hefty guarantees.

Fans of Omaha can get their fix with the 5-Card PLO (WCOOP 90), running at $22, $109, and $530 buy-ins, before the evening schedule shifts back to the ever-popular Progressive Knockouts. The $55, $215, and $1,050 PKOs (WCOOP 91-L/M/H) each feature $175K guarantees, ensuring big prize pools across all three tiers.

The night wraps up with a set of fast-paced 4-Max Turbo NLHE events (WCOOP 92-L/M/H), ranging from $22 to $530.
