Conners Puts His Opponent in a "Brutal Spot"

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Clifford Conners three-bet to 7,900 in the small blind and an opponent in early position called, as did another opponent in the hijack.

Conners bet 11,300 on the 8♥4♣7♥ flop, and only the early-position player called. Conners then moved all in on the 4♦ turn.

His opponent had around 30,000 behind and went deep into the tank, taking nearly five minutes to consider the decision. "Two jacks in your hand? Brutal spot," Conners told him. He eventually folded, and Conners took down the pot.

Hoisington Runs Into Gerjevic's Queens

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Josh Gerjevic raised to 2,800 in early position and Dalip Madnani called in middle position. Troy Hoisington then moved all in for 25,000 in the small blind, and only Gerjevic called.

Troy Hoisington: 9♥9♦ All in
Josh Gerjevic: J♠J♦

Hoisington found himself dominated and at risk, and the 5♠3♠4♠7♠Q♣ board improved Gerjevic to a flush to win the pot and send Hoisington to the rail.

Adamastor Santos has built up his stack up to around 180,000. According to a tablemate, a player had shoved for 50,000 in a five-way pot with a straight, but Santos had a set and improved to a full house to win the big pot and earn the knockout.

Townsend Survives a Big Flip

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Joe Dornish raised to 3,000 in the hijack and a player on the button called before Charlie Townsend reraised to 13,400 in the small blind. The big blind then reraised to 26,000 and Dornish and the button folded, while Townsend then moved all in for 38,900. The big blind quickly called.

Charlie Townsend: A♦K♥ All in
Opponent: Q♦Q♣

It was a classic flip, and Dornish told Townsend he had folded king-queen. Another opponent said he had an ace, but Townsend still found one on the A♠6♠4♥ flop to take the lead. He improved to two pair on the K♣ turn, while the 8♦ fell on the river to secure his double up.

Brenda Miller

Brenda Miller, decked out in a sparkling American flag hat today, bet 2,000 from under the gun on a flop of 8♣7♥A♦ and Wayne Chiw called in the hijack.

Miller bet another 2,000 on the 7♦ turn, and Chiw again called. Miller bet 4,000 on the 10♠ river, but this time Chiw raised to 10,000. Miller then moved all in for 30,000, and Chiw called.

Miller showed A♣10♦ for two pair, but Chiw had rivered a straight with J♠9♠ to win the pot. "I'm coming back," Miller told her tablemates as she headed off to the rail.
