Last year, this very event attracted 1,045 entrants over three starting flights and created a $307,900 prize pool. Dion Jagroo dominated the final table to capture the title after striking a heads-up deal, good for $66,000 plus a $1,650 Deepest Stack seat.

Jagroo struck a deal with his good friend Daniel Silva, who locked up $43,554.

“This is literally something we both dreamed about,” Jagroo said after winning last year. “Something we always thought about.”

“It’s crazy,” Silva laughed as they celebrated.

Agrachov Survives the First Level

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Just before the end of Level 1, there was only 1,600 in the middle on a board reading {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Glen Clementi had 4,000 out in front of him and was debating what to do as Dimitry Agrachov had moved all in for 13,900. Eventually, Clementi made the call and discovered the bad news.

Agrachov: {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Clementi: {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Clementi called with his straight draw, and he needed to find a seven just to chop as Agrachov turned the nuts. The {2-Clubs} river wasn't it and Agrachov doubled back to the starting stack.
