Jordan Bamford had previously doubled to nearly two times the starting stack but his media ticket was just handed over and the seat on his former table was empty. Now holding a bigger stack on it is Valdir Cordeiro Dos Santos, who was also on Day 2 of the High Roller as well.

Minko Felted by Dando

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

A short-stacked Vladimir Minko was at risk for just 12,100 with the {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Paul Dando looked him up with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Minko was excited for a second when he saw an ace in the window on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop but Dando was in the lead with two pair. Nothing changed on the {4-Diamonds} turn and the {7-Hearts} river, sending Minko to the rail.

Grafton Up and Running; Talbot Short

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

The £2,200 High Roller is down to the final eight players including the PokerStars ambassadors Ramon Colillas and Ben Spragg. Also still in contention are Jamie Nixon and Jack O'Neill.

In the meanwhile, the fellow red spade representatives Sam Grafton and Parker Talbot have jumped into Day 1a of the £1,100 Main Event. They had mixed success with Grafton holding nearly two times the starting stack while Talbot was last spotted all-in with a short stack. He got it all-in with eights versus eights and chopped.

Laming Eliminated by Sakhai

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

In the last hand of the previous level, Joe Laming faced a min-raise from early position and moved all-in for 7,100 on the button. David Sakhai moved all-in for the last 8,100 in the small blind and the initial raiser asked for a count. "I should call but I won't, I have king-queen," he said and mucked the cards thereafter.

Joe Laming: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
David Sakhai: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and the ace on the turn spelled the end for Laming.

Arapi Nearly Mucks Winning Hand

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

Four ways to the {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{k-Spades} turn, James Gold bet 7,000 and received just one caller in Dritan Arapi. The {4-Spades} on the river was checked by both as Gold took a long before opting to do so and Arapi checked behind. Gold tabled the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a set of tens and Arapi was about to send his cards into the muck.

He revealed them very briefly and slid them further towards the middle of the table, mentioning "I had a pair and missed the flush". All of a sudden, he said "wait a second" and grabbed them back before turning over the {q-Spades}{8-Spades} for the second nuts.

"I entered three times," Arapi sighed as he raked in the pot.
