Linda Hamdi opened to 6,000 from middle position and received calls from Mahmouki Hicham in the hijack, Samy Hamou on the button and Mathieu Cabannes in the big blind.

All four players checked the Q34 flop leading to the J on the turn. Cabannes checked, Hamdi bet 8,000, Mahmouki called, Hamou folded and Cabannes folded.

Both players checked the 3 river. Hamdi tabled J9 for second pair which was good enough to take the pot.

Elsewhere, Marc Navarro and Damien Luis have both been recently eliminated from the tournament.

Karem Laouini opened to 5,000 from the hijack and received calls from Arthur Brilliet in the small blind and Pierrick Burban in the big blind.

Action checked around to Laouini who bet 6,500 on the AQ9 flop. Brilliet made the call while Burban got out of the way.

Both players checked the 4 turn and J river. Brilliet tabled A5 for top pair with a weak kicker which was good enough to take the pot.

The flop came Q95 and Hamdi check-called a 7,500 continuation bet from Navarro.

On the 9 turn Hamdi lead out with a 10,000 bet. Navarro made the call.

Both players checked the J river.

Navarro revealed KK and Hamdi quickly mucked.

Reard Gets Some Back

Mostafa Essanhaji opened to 2,500 from the hijack and "Johan" three-bet to 7,500 from the button. Alexandre Reard, who had lost a bit more than half his stack over the last two levels, called from the small blind and Essanhaji also called.

Action checked around to "Johan" who bet 10,500 on the 496 flop. Reard put in a check-raise to 25,000 which was enough to force a fold from both remaining opponents and take down a nice pot uncontested.

Meanwhile, Ugo Palmero and Rachid Boughrara have both recently been eliminated from the tournament.

El-Yousfi Takes an Aggressive Line

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Valentin Devooght opened to 2,500 from the cutoff and was called by Damien Luis on the button and Ferreol Motte in the small blind. Said El-Yousfi then raised to 12,500 from the big blind, folding out Devooght and Motte while Luis made the call.

The flop came 763 and El-Yousfi bet 12,000. Luis made the call.

El-Yousfi bet 12,000 again on the A turn, leaving only about 20,000 behind. Luis made the call.

Both players checked the Q river.

El-Yousfi tabled Q2 for a pure bluff that turned into a pair of queens on the river. Luis' hand hit the muck and El-Yousfi collected a sizable pot.
