Dolan Doubles Through Damien

The Dolanator
The Dolanator
A short-stacked Michael Dolan open-shoved all in for approximately 38,000 in chips and Damien Oborne immediately raised behind him, forcing all other potential opponents out of the pot.

Dolan: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Oborne: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The hand was settled straight away, as the flop came {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs} giving Dolan the nut flush. The turn and river filled out {A-Diamonds}, {8-Spades} locking things up for Dolan, who stacked up just over 80,000 in chips with the win. After the hand, Oborne was left with a still-manageable 145,000.

Matthew Hyman Eliminated in 15th Place ($9,895)

Matthew Hyman
Matthew Hyman
Evan Schwartz raised to 16,000 from middle position and Matthew Hyman re-raised all in for 100,000 right behind him. Schwartz called and was happy to see Hyman show {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} because he held {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}. He wasn't happy about a {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop and the {5-Hearts} on the turn brought no help either, but Schwartz was redeemed when the turn brought a {10-Clubs}, giving him a Broadway straight to eliminate Hyman from the tournament.

Caillier 'Eaton' Some Chips

Doug Caillier has just doubled through Jon Eaton after moving all in on the strength of ace-high, claiming he hadn't looked at the other card. Eaton made the call with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and when it was time for the showdown, Caillier was pleased to see that his other card was the {K-Spades}.

The board filled out {J-Clubs}{A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} giving Doug top pair, top kicker and a new chip stack worth 160,000. Eaton dropped to approximately 70,000 with the loss.

Calm Before the Storm

Over the last fifteen minutes, play has slowed considerably. Players seem to be getting a feel for their new table assignments, as we haven't seen any significant action since Peter Neff was eliminated from the tournament.
