McCabe Makes Straight Flush

Sean McCabe is amongst our tournament chip leaders after busting a player with a straight flush.

The board read {8-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and his opponent thought he was in good shape with {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a full house, but McCabe flipped over {7-Spades}{9-Spades} for the straight flush to the disgust of his opponent and "ooohs" of the rest of the table.

McCabe is up to over 27,000 chips.

Williams Draws Tough Table

David Williams has just been relocated and now finds himself on Table 43 of the Orange section, up against the rail. He is in Seat 2, but has drawn a tough table, with the two seats to his immediate left filled by experienced pros David Pham and Luca Pagano.

It's Musical Chairs at the Rio

Players have been shuffled around today more than a deck of cards here in the Amazon Room.

Normally when players are eliminated from the Amazon Room, tables from other areas are broken and the players redistributed to the empty spots at tables in the Amazon Room. Today they are doing something a little different. They are breaking entire tables in the Amazon Room and then moving entire tables from the other rooms.

Humberto Loses Half His Stack

Preflop, Humberto Brenes raised to 550 and a player to his right made the call. On a flop of {9-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}, Brenes checked and his opponent bet out 600. Brenes made the call. On the turn of the {2-Hearts}, again Brenes checked and his opponent bet 1,450. Brenes made the call. When the river fell the {6-Diamonds}, Brenes checked one more time and his opponent bet out 2,500. Brenes made call. Brenes's opponent showed {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} and Brenes mucked.
