Glantz Doubles Up

Razz

Matt Glantz was in critical shape when he got it all in holding ({7-Spades} {3-Spades}) {5-Diamonds} against his opponent's {({8-Spades} {6-Clubs}) {3-Hearts} in razz. Here's how the boards ran out:

Glantz ({7-Spades} {3-Spades}) {5-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {A-Clubs} ({10-Clubs})
Opponent: ({8-Spades} {6-Clubs}) {3-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} ({K-Clubs})

Glantz now has about 2,000 chips and is still very short.

Ho Gettin' Some

Stud-8

The boards were:

Maria Ho: (X-X) {7-Clubs} {10-Spades} {4-Clubs} {5-Clubs} (X)
Robert Williamson III: (X-X) {A-Spades} {7-Spades} {A-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} (X)

Picking up the action on fifth street, Williamson fired a bet with a pair of aces showing and Ho called. Williamson bet again on sixth and was called. After seventh, Williamson checked and let Ho do the betting. She did just that and fired. Williamson made the call.

Ho tabled {7-Clubs} {10-Spades} {4-Clubs} {5-Clubs} ({6-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}) for a straight and a low to scoop the pot after Williamson mucked.

Williamson is down to 10,000
Ho is up to 9,000

Pros Everywhere

The field has 452 entrants in it and is paying 48 spots. This year's event has topped last year's field. Just a quick gander around the Brasilia room here at the Rio and you'll see tons of big names professionals everywhere. The field is extremely stacked with some of the best players in the world, which should make for a great tournament for the next three days. There are currently 20 players already busted, with 432 remaining in the field. We should have all the prizepool information shortly.
