Flushed with Success

JC Tran
JC Tran
J C Tran has been beating up his table all day long. He keeps them entertained with table chat and takes their chips almost without them noticing. He does get a bit lucky too from time to time.

In this hand he took a player on with {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} but found his opponent had woken up with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}. The board ran {K-Spades} {8-Spades} {6-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {10-Spades} to give Tran a nut flush and a very healthy pot that puts him up to 55,000.

Vinnie Vanquished!

Vinnie Vinh has just been knocked out of the tournament. He saw a {A-Clubs} {J-?} {10-Clubs} flop against another player which went check-check. On the {9-Clubs} turn, Vinh bet 1,500 and was called. The river was the {K-Hearts} and Vinh checked with his opponent setting him all-in.

Vinh made the call but mucked and quickly left the table once he was shown {A-?} {Q-?}

Batfinked!

With 5,000 in the pot, Matt Fink check-called a bet of 3,200 on a {J-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {4-Spades} from Rep Porter. The turn was the {6-Spades} and Fink called 4,800 this time. On the {J-Hearts}, Fink checked again and this time Porter gave up, mucking when Fink showed him {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}

Bjorin Slippy?

Bracelet winner Chris Bjorin has been knocked out after pushing with {A-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} and getting called by {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs}. The London-based Swede didn't improve on a {7-Spades} {10-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {6-Spades} {6-Hearts} board.

Nearly Shaked the Sheik

Shawn Sheikhan raised to 700 from early position and was called by Andrew Teng and the big blind. The flop came down {J-Spades} {8-Spades} {10-Clubs} and it was checked to Teng who bet 1,200. The BB folded but Sheikhan made the call.

The turn {9-Diamonds} saw both players checked through to the {6-Clubs} river. Sheikhan lead out this time for 2,300 and after a long think Teng raised it up to 5,400. "Really?" asked Sheikhan "You really have king-queen?"

He made the call though and it was a split pot with Sheikhan tabling {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} to Teng's {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}.
