Schneider Breaks a Nine

Julie Schneider
Julie Schneider
Julie Schneider raised from middle position, and Brad Libson three-bet her from the cutoff. Schneider called, and both players took two cards. Schneider bet, then called a raise from her opponent.

On the next draw, they both took one card and Schneider check-called a bet from Libson.

On the last round, Libson stood pat while Schneider traded one more card. Both players checked. Schneider said, "I broke a nine," and she tabled a ten low with T-6-5-4-2. Broken nine or not, her hand was the winner as Libson slid his cards into the muck.

Libson Caught

Brad Libson raised UTG and Nam Le called from the button. Libson drew one and Le took two with Libson betting in the dark. Le called and both drew one card. Le called and both players stood pat on the final draw.

Libson checked and Le bet, Libson folding.

Sad-Quach

Dan Quach raised from the cutoff and Julie Schneider made it 3 bets in the big blind.

Schneider took one and bet after Quach drew two, Quach made the call. This procedure repeated itself on the second draw, but on the final draw both drew one card and it was checked down.

Schneider showed {10-?} {8-?} {7-?} {3-?} {2-?} which was good.

This left Quach with 2,000 left but he couldn't beat Abe Mosseri's {9-?} {8-?} {7-?} {6-?} {2-?} in the next hand.

We're down to two tables.

Morrow Run Outta Here By Mosseri

Joseph Morrow got tangled up in three straight pots with Abe Mosseri, and it resulted in him running out of chips entirely.

On the first hand, Morrow was the pre-draw raiser, Mosseri re-raised, and Morrow called. They checked it down until the final draw where Morrow called one bet and lost to Mosseri's 9-8-5-4-3.

Morrow - 46,000

*****

On the next hand, Mosseri was the raiser with Morrow calling out of the big blind. Both drew two cards and Morrow called a bet. Mosseri stood pat twice after that, betting both rounds. Morrow called once before letting his hand go on the final round.

Morrow - 22,000

*****

On the third hand of this run, Morrow raised from the small blind, and Mosseri called from the big. Morrow bet after drawing one on the first round, and Mosseri was right here with the call. On the second round of drawing, Morrow took one again and moved all in for 5,000 with Mosseri looking him up. Mosseri would pat while Morrow still wanted one card. Mosseri tabled 9-5-4-3-2, and his smooth nine was too good for Morrow.

Morrow - 0

After those three consecutive run-ins with Abe Mosseri, Joseph Morrow has been eliminated in 14th place.

Mosseri Catches Up

Abe Mosseri raises from the small blind and Dan Quach makes it 3 bets in the big blind.

Mosseri called and drew three and Quach drew one, before Mosseri check-called a bet.

Both then drew one and the action went check-check before Mosseri stood pat and Quach drew one for a third time. It went check-check again and Mosseri's {10-Clubs} {8-Spades} {7-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {3-Hearts} was good.

Lording It Over

Kris Lord limped in the small blind and John Juanda checked his option.

Lord drew two cards and Juanda smiled and drew four, Lord responded with a 5,000 bet and Juanda mucked.

"I missed..." he said with a giggle.

Fernandez Drinks a Double

Brad Libson raised from the button, Jacobo Fernandez three-bet it, and Libson made the call. Fernandez drew one while Libson traded in two. Fernandez bet out and Libson called.

On the second round, Fernandez stood pat while Libson drew another two and called another bet. Fernandez patted again and bet all in for his last lonely 1,000. Libson had drawn one and he called.

Fernandez showed 8-7-6-4-3, and his eighty-seven was good for a double up. He's moved on to 54,000, while Libson has taken a step back. He's still healthy with 205,000 though.
