Kessler Clawing Back

Daniel Negreanu limped in from the small blind, and his neighbor Allen Kessler tapped the table for a free draw from the big. He and Negreanu each took three cards before check-checking the bet.

On the next draw, Negreanu took three again while Kessler drew two. Negreanu bet and Kessler called.

Both men stood pat on the final round, with Kessler calling one more bet from Negreanu.

"I got an eight," said Negreanu, prompting Kessler to turn over his own 8. "I got eighty-seven," said the Kid. Kessler showed 8-7. "Eight-seven-six," said Negreanu, and that was where it ended. Kessler opened up the winning 8-7-5-4-2 to take the pot and work his way back up to 12,000.

La drew three. McCormick bet and the other two called.

McCormick drew one again and both the others drew two, it was checked to Nassif who bet and both players called.

On the last draw McCormick drew one, Nassif stood pat and La drew one. McCormick checked once more, Nassif bet and La called all in, McCormick folding.

Nassif showed {7-Spades} {5-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {2-Hearts} for Number One which knocked La out.

Le Draws Four; Phan Mocks

John Phan raised from middle position, and Ryan Fisler and Tuan Le came along to the draw.

Le took four while the other men drew two apiece. Phan couldn't resist the chance to poke at Le: "Drawing four, Tuan? Nice!"

"That's the beauty of this game," said Le. "You can never be drawing dead till the river." After the draw, the three men checked around. Le would draw three this time, and his opponents again drew two each. Phan bet, Fisler folded, and Le made the call.

On the final draw, Phan and Le each took one card. "Bingo!" announced Le, and he bet out into the pot. Phan made the call. "Ninety-seven," Le said. It was not good though; the cards speak and Phan tabled the winning 8-7-5-4-3.

No Sklansky Bucks

David Sklansky has been knocked out after he saw Jason Lester's {8-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {2-Clubs}. Sklansky had {7-Spades} {6-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {2-Spades} and needed a four or a five but could only catch the {A-Clubs}.

Jason Lester is now up to 15,000.

Nam's Pat Queen Stays Good

Ryan Fisler raised UTG and Nam Le made it 3 bets behind him. Fisler drew two and Le one before Fisler check-called a bet from Le. Fisler drew two again and Le drew one once more, the latter bet all in for 1,100 and Fisler called.

Fisler drew two on the last draw and Le decided to stand pat, flipping {Q-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {3-Spades} {2-Spades} which was good as Fisler could only make an Ace.
