Big Pot for Bernard

From middle position, Bernard Lee raised to 600 and the big blind made the call. The flop came down {K-?} {J-?} {10-?} and Lee fired 725 after his opponent checked. The player check-raised to 2,500 and Lee made the call.

The turn brought a {7-?} and the big blind led out for 5,000. Lee made the call again.

The river was a {3-?}. The big blind fired out a hefty bet of 10,000. Lee stood his ground and made the call with {A-?} {A-?}. His hand was good and he's not at 55,000.

Wayans Cops an Ass Whooping

On a board reading {Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} Marlon Wayans was faced with a decision for all of his chips after his opponent moved all in at the healthy pot.

"I got a feeling we have the same thing!" said Wayans repeatedly to himself.

He eventually folded what he claimed was {A-?}{Q-?}, and his opponent flashed {J-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a set of jacks.

"Now that's a manly ass whooping!" exclaimed Wayans as he shook his opponent's hand, "Not like that guy (referring to the opponent who cracked his queens with five-deuce earlier)...when he beat me it was like my momma hitting me!"

Wayans is down to 18,000.

Cliff Climbing

Cliff Josephy is up to 48,000 after a gentleman chose to get his last 4,700 in preflop with {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}. Josephy called with {8-Clubs} {8-Spades} which held up, sending Mr. Gentleman to the rail.

Lee's Read Moves Him Up

Bernard Lee had pocket queens in the big blind and raised to 900 after a player in middle position limped in. The player called.

The flop came down {J-?} {5-?} {2-?} and Lee led for 1,650. The player put in a minimum raise and Lee called. The turn brought another jack and both players checked.

The river produced a {4-?} and Lee called a bet of 3,500 after checking and tanking. The player held just ace high and Lee's solid read put him up to 38,000.

Vahedi Outdraws On Turn

On a flop of {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} Amir Vahedi checked from the big blind before the under the gun player led out for 800.

One opponent made the call, as did Vahedi, to see the {10-Spades} fall on the turn and the play checked around.

When the river landed the {Q-Clubs} Vahedi fired 3,100, only to be raised by the flop aggressor to 7,000. Vahedi called and tabled his {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a turned set, to best his opponent's flopped set holding {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Aces vs. Kings

"All in and a call, table 70." announced the dealer.

"All in and a call, table 70!" yelled the dealer a few moments later after no one seemed to come running over the table from the ESPN camera crew.

The dealer then ran out the hands as it was the {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs} of Kent Lin against his opponent's {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}.

A few players from the surrounding tables stood up to watch the action as the board came out {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. Everyone around the table bursted out with excitement.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the river the {9-Spades} to calm things down as the aces held up for Lin.

Mizrachi Misery

The daily grind
The daily grind
Michael Mizrachi is down to 11,000 after check-raising a {9-Spades} {9-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} flop. His opponent called.

They both checked the {J-Diamonds} turn, and proceeded to the {4-Hearts} river. "I got you beat," warned Mizrachi's opponent. "Probably," agreed Mizrachi. They both checked, and indeed Mr. Opponent flipped {K-Spades} {Q-Spades} to make Mizrachi muck. Mizrachi claimed red sevens.

ElkY Needs a Walk

There was 2,100 in the pot preflop and the flop came down {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {7-Clubs}. After the under-the-gun player bet out 1,000, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier raised to 2,700. The player under the gun then reraised to 7,000 and ElkY made the call.

The turn brought the {K-Hearts} and the first player checked to ElkY. He fired a bet of 5,250 and the player called.

The river was the {10-Hearts} and the player checked. ElkY checked right behind. When his opponent tabled {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} for a rivered Broadway straight, ElkY's jaw almost hit the table. He then mucked his hand and got up from his chair to take a walk.

ElkY is down to 18,000.

Overworked?

A bit of a bizarre situation at the table right in front of us in at Brasilia Red 201. Six of the nine players at the table are all getting massages at the same time.

Everyone is looking very relaxed here.
