Krantz Aggro Early

Jay Rosenkrantz raised to 300 from under the gun and found a caller in the big blind. They saw a flop of {K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and the big blind fired out a bet of 600. Rosenkrantz deliberated before making the call.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and again the big blind led out, this time for 1,200. Rosenkrantz again made a slow, deliberate call.

The river brought the {2-Diamonds} and the big blind hesitated before tossing another 1,200 into the middle. Rosenkrantz announced a raise, making it 5,000 to play which was enough to put his opponent all in.

The big blind thought for a minute or two but let it go as the aggression of Rosenkrantz has netted him around 12,000 chips by the first break.

Queens for Moorman

Chris Moorman opened the pot with a 700-chip bet and the player on the button went all in for 1,625 chips. Moorman called and tabled pocket queens, his opponent tabled pocket tens and and the board brought no help.

Moorman is now up to 7,200 chips.

Lindgren Straightened Out

With an early position raise to 225, Erick Lindgren made the call on the button and the big blind came along to see a flop of {J-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Action checked to Lindgren who fired 525. The early position player made the call and the {Q-Diamonds} hit the turn. Both players checked and the river was the {K-Clubs}. The early position player led out for 1,100 and Lindgren made the call, but mucked when his opponent showed {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for the straight.

Lindgren is down to 2,400.

FBT Off To A Flying Start!

Our current chip leader is none other than Greg "FBT" Mueller.

He already had about 14,000 in front of him when we arrived to his table and saw five players each pay 250 on a board of {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

The river was the {9-Spades} and the bet was 300 from an early position player. Two callers before the cutoff raised it to 1,500. Mueller was on the button and rocked back in his chair with such action in front of him. After a minute or two of thought he tossed out a call as the others got out of the way.

The cutoff tabled {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for just one pair as Mueller showed {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a straight. He's now up to 18,000 chips.

Coming off two bracelets last year, Mueller is hungrier than ever for more gold!

Fricke All In Early

Jimmy Fricke raised the button before the player in the small blind re-popped him to 425 to go. Fricke made the call and they saw a {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} flop.

The small blind tossed out a small bet of just 250. Fricke cut down his stack and casually plonked his last 2,350 into the middle. The small blind released and Fricke recovers some of his chips.
