Hastings Doubles Through Yu

Level 11

No-Limit Hold'em

A short-stacked Brian Hastings got his stack of 63,100 all in preflop holding the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and was in great shape to double against the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} of Ben Yu. The {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop gave Hastings a full house and left Yu looking for running tens. The {7-Clubs} turn took away any hope of that happening, and after the {6-Hearts} was put out on the river, Hastings received a much-needed double.

Jeremy Ausmus (during the One-Drop)

No Limit Hold’em

Jeremy Ausmus opened to 10,000 from under the gun, as the action folded around to Jonathana Duhamel in the small blind. He raised it up to 20,500, before Ausmus opted to move all in for his remaining 91,500 in chips. He was snap called, as the cards were turned over.

Ausmus: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Duhamel: {K-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, to see Ausmus eliminated shortly after returning from the break.

“If they bring my food, just tell them what happened,” joked Ausmus, who received a collection of laughs from each of his opponents on the table, as he made his way towards the rail.

Mike Leah: {x-}{x-} / {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} / {x-}
Jeff Lisandro: {x-}{x-} / {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{q-Hearts} / {x-}

Lisandro completed, Leah called, and Lisandro proceeded to bet out on every street. Leah called him down.

"You got it," Lisandro sighed, showing {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{x-}. "King-high."

Leah rolled over {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} for a pair of tens, winning the pot.
