Tach Takes Down a Big Pot, Talbot Joins the Tournament

Level 7 : 250/500, 400 ante
Parker Talbot from a previous event
Parker Talbot from a previous event

While the board was already reading {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{A-Spades} Farukh Tach was involved in a pretty big pot. There was about 10,000 in the middle as both players checked to see the {Q-Clubs} complete the board. Tach's opponent bet out 4,900 on the river and Tach snap-called the bet.

Tach showed down {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} to win the pot as he gave Parker Talbot some change for a 5,000 chip since he joined the table in the middle of that hand.

Tach sits now in the middle of Scotty Nguyen and Talbot. The latter was verbally very excited about the big blind ante format of the tournament.

Charania Eliminates a Short Stack

Level 7 : 250/500, 400 ante

Mohsin Charania found himself in an all-in situation against a very short-stacked player. The player had just 1,500 chips behind and lost them all to Charania with {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} against {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

It all got a bit exciting on the {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop, but the {A-Spades} turn and {Q-Diamonds} gifted the pot to Charania.

Ben Heath busted out of the tournament a couple tables over.

Kuo Cut Down by Aces and Jacks

Level 7 : 250/500, 400 ante
Kitty Kuo
Kitty Kuo

A player in middle position opened to 1,000 and Ricky Guan three-bet to 9,000, the majority of his stack, from late position. Kitty Kuo made the call out of the small blind only to see the middle position player four-bet jam for 29,800. Guan called all in for 2,700 more and Kuo called to put both opponents at risk.

Middle Position: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Ricky Guan: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Kitty Kuo: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Guan made a full house to triple up. Kuo was also forced to pay the balance of the middle position player's stack to the tune of 18,100 leaving herself with just five big blinds.

Lichtenberger Eliminated

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Andrew Lichtenberger got his chips in the middle while he was ahead of his opponent, but an unlucky river sent him to the rail.

Lichtenberger bet out 3,000 on the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop and got called by his opponent. The turn was the {4-Clubs} and that's where all the chips went to the middle. Lichtenberger was holding {K-}{K-} and had to hold against his opponent's {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

The river was a {5-Spades} and Lichtenberger was eliminated from the tournament.
