Mullins and Marsh Double Up Before Dinner Break

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Mark Mullins opened with a raise to 7,000 from late position, action folded to a player in late position who moved all in and Luke Marsh called for his last 5,400. Action folded back around to Mullins who pondered for a minute then put the rest of his 47,000 in the middle.

Luke Marsh: {q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Mark Mullins: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Marsh collected the main pot after he paired his four on the flop and Mullins doubled up with the better kicker with his ace-high as the board ran out {3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Taveras Hits Gold On River

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Gilberto Taveras opened with a raise to 5,000 from early position and the player on the button called, the small blind folded and the big blind moved all in for 50,000. Gilberto Taveras called for less and the button player folded.

Gilberto Taveras: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Taveras was behind but had two overcards to his opponents pocket jacks. The flop was no help came {4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

The turn was also a brick as it came the {3-Clubs} and Taveras needed to hit one of his overcards to stay alive.

Luckily for Taveras, the dealer put the {k-Diamonds} on the river and he got the double up.

Turton Doubles Through Jones

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Craig Jones raised to 3,200 from early position and was called by a player in middle position. After action folded to Jeff Turton in the cutoff, he three-bet shoved, and was called by Jones. The middle position player folded and the two players were off to the races.

Jeff Turton: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Craig Jones: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Straight Flush... "Only In America"

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The player under the gun opened with a raise to 3,000 and the player sitting directly to his left re-raised to 12,000. Action folded around to Adam Asadoorian who moved all in from late position, the action folded back around and he was called by both players.

UTG Player: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Adam Asadoorian: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
All In opponent: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}

Asadoorian was behind both of his opponents but the flop brought hope with the {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} as he flopped not only the flush draw but the straight flush draw.

The turn brought the {j-Hearts} and Asadoorian yelled, "FLUSH... NO STRAIGHT FLUSH!... ONLY IN AMERICA", while he held up his arms in victory.

The board was paired but that didn't matter and the dealer put the {7-Diamonds} on the river and Asadoorian eliminated both his opponents and raked in the pot.

Everyone Likes the Flop

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The action was picked up on a flop of {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, which was apparently an action flop for the three players in the hand. After Ken Rogers bet 6,000, Xao Yang raised to 23,000, which was then met by a three-bet shove from Jin Tian for 37,400 before Rogers called for less.

Yang, who had both players easily covered, then started talking and replaying the hand out loud. He eventually made the call and the players tabled their hands. Yang had flopped top pair with the top quicker, Tian was on a flush draw, and Rogers had flopped top two pair, which held on the {9-Hearts} turn and {k-Hearts} river. Rogers tripled up, Tian was eliminated and Yang was awarded the small side pot.

Ken Rogers: {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Xao Yang: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Jin Tian: {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
