On a board reading {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Yik Chiu checked from the hijack and Ali Eslami slid forward enough chips to cover Chiu's remaining 127,000. There was around 170,000 in the middle and Chiu took some time studying the situation. He eventually folded his hand and Eslami showed he had the {a-Diamonds} in his hand.

The player in the under-the-gun position raised to 7,500 and was called by Raul Manzanares in the early position, Tara Cain in the late position, and Matthew Reeser in the big blind.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, everyone checked except Cain who led out with a bet of 14,000. Manzanares was the only one to not make the call.

They then all checked through the {5-Hearts} on the turn to the {k-Spades} on the river. Reeser fired a bet of 75,000 into the pot. The initial raiser folded immediately and Cain tanked for a while before opting to fold.

Galen Hall started the day 14th in chips with just over 700,000 chips. He's chipped up over the first level and a quarter and appears to be the first player in the 2019 WSOP Main Event over one million in chips. That equates to 333 big blinds at the current blind level of 1,500/3,000/3,000.

Nick Palma earlier this summer

Nick Palma had moved all in for 21,500 from under the gun. A player in middle position called before the small blind three-bet all in for 46,000.

The second player called and all hands were turned over.

Nick Palma: {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Middle Position: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Small Blind: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

There was a king in the window of a {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} board and although the {9-Clubs} gave both opponents straight draws, the river was the {9-Spades} and Palma tripled up.

"We're going to spin this up," said Palma. "I'm coming back to win this f*cking bird!"
