Atkins Out-Aggresses Jaka

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

On a flop of {10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Josh Adkins checked from the big blind to Faraz Jaka in early position. Jaka bet 1,100, but was then met with a check-raise from Adkins.

Jaka called, and the duo saw a {7-Hearts} fall on the turn. Adkins continued his aggression, firing out another 7,000, earning a fold from Jaka.

Foutty Keeps Winning

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Steve Foutty has built up a massive stack here on Day 1b and is putting it to good use.

In his last hand, Foutty was in the small blind and called a pre-flop raise from the under-the-gun player. The big blind also called and they went three-way to a flop of {q-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

Foutty checked and the big blind bet 2,000. The under-the-gun player called before Foutty raised to 7,000. Only the player under the gun called.

Both players checked the {j-Diamonds} turn before Foutty led for 4,000 on the {5-Clubs} river. His opponent went into the tank for about two minutes but eventually called. Foutty turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for a flopped pair of queens and his opponent mucked as he raked in another pot.

"I'd like to request a seat change," the player in the big blind joked before claiming he folded {k-}{q-} on the flop.

Deeb Climbing Back Up

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Shaun Deeb was in a three-way pot on the turn as the board read {8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. He bet 1,700, one opponent folded and the other called.

The river was the {a-Hearts}. Action went check-check and Deeb turned over the {q-Spades}{4-Spades} to take the pot and move his stack up some from the earlier doldrums.

Cardoso Rips the River, Simao Climbing Back

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante
Joao Simao
Joao Simao

Nabil Cardoso raised to 1,200 from early position and only the big blind called.

On the flop {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}, the big blind check-called a bet of 3,200 from Cardoso.

Both players checked the {2-Diamonds} turn to the {4-Spades} river. The big blind led this time for 6,000 and Cardoso shoved for 14,000 more, which was met with an insta-fold.

A few tables away, Joao Simao put in 1,200 to see the flop {10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds} four ways. When the action checked to Simao, he bet 3,800 and got just one caller.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and Simao bet 7,700 after he was checked to again.

On the river {6-Hearts}, Simao's opponent check-folded to a bet of 19,200.

Five-Three Off Suit and a Chicken Wing in Hand

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante
Frank Stepuchin
Frank Stepuchin

The action was picked up on the flop with the board showing {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and the pot of 7,000 in chips.

Frank Stepuchin checked and his only opponent bet 4,500. Stepuchin check-raised to 13,800 and his opponent tanked before making the call.

The turn was {q-Clubs} and Stepuchin ordered another beer while holding a chicken wing in one hand before making another bet, this time 43,800 and enough to put his opponent at risk.

His opponent eventually mucked and Stephuchin said "I'll show you one time but next time it'll cost you" and showed {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Jaka Raises the Flop in Five-Way Pot

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

A player in early position raised to 1,300 and got four callers, including Faraz Jaka in the big blind. The flop came {4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and action checked to a middle position player who bet 4,500.

The small blind called, but Jaka put in a raise to 17,000. The original better quickly folded, but the small blind took his time, uncapping his cards to take another peek before sliding them back to the dealer.
