Akkari and Baker Fold Big Holdings Correctly

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Three ways to the {q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} turn, Andre Akkari checked and David "ODB" Baker bet 5,000. He was called only by David Chang as Akkari opted to fold and flashed his cards briefly to his table neighbour in the three seat. Baker then checked the {8-Clubs} on the river and Chang bet 16,400.

"Wow, you got a big one?" Baker inquired and then considered pocket fives or pocket treys as possible holdings for Chang. His opponent engaged in the table chat as Chang was seemingly afraid of queen-ten. Baker then folded the {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for trips queens face-up and Akkari mentioned he had folded aces. As far as Chang was concerned, Baker's read was spot on as the {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for treys full of queens were shown for everybody to see.

On the turn {3-Spades}, Hawkins' opponent check-called a bet of 3,400.

The river was the {k-Diamonds}, and Hawkins' opponent check-folded to an all-in bet of about 8,000 from Hawkins.

Wheeler Misses Wheel; Good Anyway

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Jason Wheeler raised to 1,000 from the button and got a caller in the small blind and a fold from the big blind.

The turn of {8-Diamonds} and the river {6-Spades} were both checked and at showdown the small blind turned over {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for queen high, while Wheeler turned over {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for ace high which was good for the pot.

Fargo Flops the Nuts

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Dan Smith, who had just sat down at the table, raised to 900 from middle position. He was called by Matthew Jewett on the button, Timothy Fargo in the small blind, and the player in the big blind.

The action checked to Jewett on a flop that read {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and he threw out a bet of 2,800. Fargo called in the small blind but then the player in the big blind three-bet to 8,700.

Smith and Jewett released their hands. It was now Fargo's turn to act and he put in a four-bet to 23,000.

"Look what you started Dan...we haven't seen action like this all day", said Jewett. "Sorry", replied Smith.

The player in the big blind called the four-bet and the turn came the {7-Spades} pairing the board. Fargo checked and his opponent sized down with a bet of 5,800 to which he made the call.

The action checked through the {a-Spades} river bringing three cards to a flush.

Fargo tabled {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for the flopped straight which was good for the pot despite the board being paired with three cards to a flush.
