Livingston Wins One

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Alex Livingston opened from the button for 3,000. The big blind defended.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}. The big blind check-called a bet of 3,000 from Livingston.

The turn was the {k-Spades}. The big blind led for 5,200 and Livingston called.

The {4-Clubs} came on the river to double pair the board. Action went check-check. Livingston tabled the {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to take the pot.

Young Check-Raises The River

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The player in the hijack opened to 3,600 and was called by Maxwell Young in the big blind.

Both players checked on the {8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop and Young check-called a 4,500 bet from his opponent on the {q-Diamonds} turn.

The {a-Spades} completed the board and Young checked once more — prompting a 9,000 bet from his opponent. Young then check-raised to 22,000 and the hijack folded after a bit of thought.

Moorman Takes From Yaginuma

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

Chris Moorman raised from middle position and action folded to Jesse Yaginuma who defended his big blind.

The {9-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Spades} flop saw Yaginuma check-call the 2,000 continuation bet from Moorman and both players checked the {2-Clubs} turn.

After the {4-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Yaginuma led out for 3,200 and Moorman quickly called.

Yaginuma rolled over {a-Spades}{4-Hearts} but Moorman showed a better two-pair with {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} to win the pot.

Kanit Eliminates One

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Mustapha Kanit
Mustapha Kanit

Mustapha Kanit was in a pot against an all-in opponent and another player on a board reading {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Kanit bet 6,500 and the other player folded to get the hand heads-up.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Mustapha Kanit: {q-Spades}{8-Spades}

"Let's go!" the opponent yelled when he saw he was ahead with ace-high and a wheel draw against the flush draw of Kanit. But the river brought the {q-Clubs} to give Kanit the best hand and his opponent let out a sigh of disappointment before hitting the rail.

Joshi Eliminated by Higgins

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Sachin Joshi got his stack in from the under-the-gun position and was snap-called by Matthew Higgins.

Sachin Joshi: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Matthew Higgins: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Joshi had plenty of outs with his gutshot and straight flush draw. However, he bricked both the {a-Clubs} turn and the {7-Diamonds} river to depart the tournament area.
