Aldemir Forces a Fold From Walton

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Koray Aldemir opened to 17,000 from early position and was called by Adam Walton in the big blind.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Walton checked to Aldemir, who bet 18,000. Walton then check-raised to 75,000 and Aldemir called.

Craig Varnell
Craig Varnell

Craig Varnell raised to 18,000 from late position and the big blind defended to see a {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop.

The big blind check-jammed for roughly 200,000 after Varnell continued for 21,000 and Varnell called holding slightly more chips.

Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Craig Varnell: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Varnell flopped top two-pair but still had a sweat as his opponent held an open-ended straight draw.

Luckily for Varnell, the {2-Diamonds} turn didn't change a thing and the {9-Diamonds} paired the board on the river, securing him the nearly double while eliminating his opponent.
