Ashner Turns Hand Around

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a flop of J86 and facing a 7,000 bet from a player in early position, Tim Ashner called from the hijack. The small blind then went all in for 39,500. The player in early position folded. Ashner then began to think. He cut out the amount of the call, then added it back to his stack. After a minute or two, another player at the table called for the clock. Ashner then said "No, it's okay, I call."

Small blind: A5
Tim Ashner: K9

Ashner's flush draw was far behind, but he suddenly went ahead with the 9 on the turn. A 4 on the river gave Ashner the pot and eliminated his opponent.
