Adcock Shows Big Hand

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On a heads-up flop of 6J4, there was already 750,000 in the middle when Joshua Adcock led out for 450,000 and Ashton Nikzad made the call.

The turn came out the 2 and Adcock snap shoved all in for over 3,500,000, covering Nikzad who went into the tank.

After a long, agonizing minute, Nikzad painfully folded his hand and was then shown QQ by Adcock, which appeared to give Nikzad some relief as he tapped the table.

With this win, Adcock now has over 5,000,000 in chips and is one of the largest stacks in the room.

Wong's Double Leaves Cada Short

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

All the chips went into the middle preflop, with Chunlung Wong at risk for 1,780,000 in the big blind. Joe Cada in the hijack covered Wong.

Chunlung Wong: 1010
Joe Cada: AK

There was no help on the board of 8839J for the 2009 Main Event champion as Wong's pocket tens held. Cada was left with less than ten big blinds.

Distenfeld Secures Back-to-Back Hands with Aggression

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

WSOP bracelet winner Gershon Distenfeld is usually in a giving mood away from the poker table. He’s known to donate his winnings to charities, after all.

But on two straight hands in Level 24, Distenfeld showed his ability to take on the poker table.

On the first hand, Distenfeld raised 115,000 in middle position and the player to his immediate left called.

The dealer fanned QA7 on the flop. Distenfeld led out with 175,000, and his opponent quickly mucked his cards.

The next sequence saw Distenfeld once again raise to 115,000. This time, though, Distenfeld got no action as the table folded to his aggression. But he did secure the blinds and antes for a profit.

Allen Shoves on Dobbs

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

When the action got around to him preflop, Scott Dobbs made it 360,000 to go from the small blind and found one call from Zachary Allen in early position.

The two went to a flop of J42 and Dobbs continued for 450,000 but then Allen announced he was all-in for 1,545,000 and Dobbs went into the tank.

After a good minute or so of debating his two options, Dobbs decided to let it go and the pot was awarded to Allen.

Weissman Gets There on the River

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Joey Weissman

Justin Filtz raised to 120,000 in early position, then watched WSOP bracelet winner Joey Weissman call on the button.

The dealer fanned KAQ on the flop, which both players checked. The 3 provided some action, as Filtz led out 150,000, which Weissman called.

The river saw J and fireworks. Filtz checked, then watched Weissman go in the tank. Weissman took his time before counting out 500,000 off to the side of his chips. Then, he stacked the chips and cut out 475,000 before moving them forward as a bet.

Filtz snap called, then saw in dismay that Weissman tabled AJ for the nut straight.

“Nice river,” Filtz deadpanned as he watched the dealer push the pot to Weissman.
