Steven Buckner raised to 10,000 in early position and was called by the big blind. The flop came K♠8♦7♦ and both players quickly checked to the 6♥ on the turn.
The big blind led out with a bet of 10,000 and Buckner called to see the 4♥ on the river. The big blind checked this time and Buckner flicked in a bet of 17,000. His opponent called and Buckner just dumped his cards into the muck.
Kane Kalas raised to 10,000 under the gun and called a three-bet worth 24,000 from the button.
The flop revealed 10♠5♦J♦ and Kalas first checked. The button continued for 13,000 and after some thinking, Kalas shoved for a stack around 60,000. His opponent snap folded.
Alex Lynskey raised from the cutoff to 11,000 and the big blind made the call to the flop.
The flop came A♦7♥7♠ with both players having quickly checked.
With the Q♠ on the turn, the big blind fired for 8,000 and received a call from Lynskey.
The river peeled the 7♣ as the big blind again bet for 27,000. After taking some time to consider, Lynskey made the call and showed K♦K♣ to take down the pot.
After the break, the remaining 378 players discovered on the screens the payout of this $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em WSOP Event.
The tournament had a total of 1,735 entrants, generating a prize pool of $4,632,450. A total of 261 players will be in the money. And the winner will receive $717,879 and, of course, a WSOP bracelet.

Five-time bracelet winner and 1998 Main Event Champion Scotty Nguyen will miss the first half of the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) as the Vietnamese-American poker icon recovers from surgery.
Nguyen, always a fan-favorite of WSOP, took to Twitter earlier this week to announce he was undergoing surgery for slipping rib syndrome, a condition that can cause severe chest pain in addition to "a slipping, clicking, or popping sensation in the lower chest," according to an article published in Psychopharmacology Bulletin.
But it's not all over, baby. Nguyen tweeted today to let his fans know that the surgery was a success and that he hopes to recover in time for the second half of the WSOP.

“I love all of you, baby. See you in the second half at the World Series in Vegas.”
Julian Parmann raised to 8,000, and then got called by the button and by Harry Lodge in the big blind.
On the 2♦9♥6♣ flop, Parmann bet another 8,000. This time, only Lodge called. Then, the English player took the lead on the turn 9♠ betting 14,000. Parmann didn't let down and added the chips needed in the middle.
But his decision became tougher when Lodge bet 44,000 on the river, keeping only one chip of 1,000 in his hands. Focused on his posture, Lodge saw Parmann take a few seconds before folding.
