Danneker Gets Paid After Hitting the River

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Cedric Danneker and an opponent in middle position had already built a pot of around 50,000 with the board showing 756104 when Danneker, in the big blind, moved all in for 25,500.

His opponent tanked for several minutes as he considered the decision for most of his stack. He eventually flicked in a green 25,000 chip and turned over 66 for a set.

Danneker, though, had K8 for the rivered straight as he earned a massive double up.

Set Over Set for LaMarca

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Tony LaMarca was in early position and raised to 1,500. The late position player and the big blind both called. The flop came out 963 and LaMarca bet out 1,000 after the big blind checked and received a call from both players.

The turn brought the 4 and the big blind checked and LaMarca placed the bet of 4,000. The late position player folded and the big blind produced the old check raise maneuver and raised to 9,000. LaMarca took a bit of time and made the call.

The river 7 prompted a bet from the big blind to 15,000 and LaMarca took some time again and then made the call. The big blind turned over 66 for the set and LaMarca slammed down 99 for the bigger set.

LaMarca told the big blind player, "You actually lost the least amount of money, due to the straight being a possibility".

Niste Back On Track

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Short-stacked for quite a while, Mihai Niste patiently waited for the right moment to go all in with his remaining 10,700 chips.

That moment arrived when he was in the middle position. All the other players folded, except for David Melius, who hesitated from the big blind. After a few seconds, Melius decided to make the call.

Mihai Niste: A8
David Melius: K9.

Niste's hand with an Ace high held on 652106, and he doubled up to 22,000 chips.

Fish Lets His Opponent Off The Hook

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

The action was picked up in a pot of 3,700 on a flop showing Q94. The player in the big blind checked to Darryll Fish who tossed out a continuation bet of 1,200. The big blind made the call and the pair saw the Q turn.

The big blind checked a second time to Fish who sized to 3,300. Without much thought, the big blind folded and the pot was awarded to fish who continues to climb the leaderboard.

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Eddie Blumenthal was in a three-way pot from the big blind on a K78 flop. Blumenthal and another player in early position checked to the player in middle position, who bet 1,800. Only Blumenthal called.

Both players checked on the 8 turn and then Blumenthal led out for 4,000 on the 2 river. His opponent decided to look him up and Blumenthal tabled K4 for kings and eights. His opponent mucked and Blumenthal added to his stack.

Conrad Simpson

Michael Pepe opened the cutoff to 1,800 before Conrad Simpson three-bet 6,200 in the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and Pepe made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of AA2 and Simpson continued for 1,200. Pepe called.

The Q fell on the turn and both players checked to see the 6 river.

Simpson tossed 6,000 across the line and Pepe mucked his hand.

Chan Triples With Straight Flush; Murthy Accumulates Chips

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a flop of 458, Jack Germaine, Edwin Buskirk, and Lok Chan all got the money in, with Biskirk covering.

Lok Chan: 37
Jack Germaine: JJ
Edwin Buskirk: 98

Germaine was sitting pretty with his overpair of jacks, but still had to fade a nine or eight from Buskirk or a six or spade from Lok.

Unfortunately for him, Chan hit the miraculous 6 on the turn to give him a straight flush and left his opponents drawing stone dead. The board completed with the Q and Chan scooped the entire main pot while Germaine took what was left of the side.

Meanwhile, at a nearby table, Neel Murthy just raked in another pot to boost his stack to 320,000, one of the largest in the room.

Mirrasouli Gets Odds From the Small Blind

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

A player in the cutoff raised to 1,500 and got called by the button, Amir Mirrasouli in the small blind and the big blind leading to a 539 flop.

Mirrasouli checked to the big blind who bet out 3,400. The cutoff called and the button got out of the way before Mirrasouli came along as well to see the 7 turn.

All three players checked through to get to the 2 river.

Both Mirrasouli and the big blind checked to the cutoff who tossed out a bet worth 11,000. Mirrasouli thought briefly before calling and the big blind sent her cards into the muck.

The cutoff turned over the 43 and Mirrasouli tabled the 53 for two pair and the winner, causing the cutoff to toss his cards toward the muck as the dealer pushed the pot to Mirrasouli.
