Patel Wins With No Showdown

Dennis Patel raised to 600 from under the gun and received a call only from the big blind leading to a 726 flop.

Action quickly checked through to bring the 10 out on the turn.

The big blind checked again, but Patel decided to toss in a bet of 600. The big blind put in the check-call and the dealer put the 3 out on the river.

The big blind checked once more and Patel bet again, this time for 1,100. The big blind tossed his cards into the muck and Patel collected the pot.

Guardiola Takes from Tran

Jimmy 'Thong' Tran raised to 500 and only got called by Juan Guardiola in the small blind.

The flop revealed 6AQ and Tran continued for 600 after it was checked to him. Guardiola decided to check-raise it to 2,000 and Tran quickly called.

The turn fell the 3 and Guardiola sent 3,000 in the middle. Tran tanked for some time and eventually folded, showing the A.

Piekazewicz Saved By a Chop

Alisson Piekazewicz and Brad Gordon got it all in on a board of 8610108.

Piekazewicz held J10 and Gordon Q10, Piekazewicz escaping a big blow to his stack when the river eight counterfeited Gordon's better trips.

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Daniel Hachem raised to 500 in the cutoff and was only called by the small blind. The flop fell AK7 and both players checked to the 10 on the turn.

The small blind led out with a bet of 500 on the turn and Hachem just called. The river was the 5 and the small blind bet another 500. Hachem raised to 3,000 this time and his opponent looked him up. Hachem turned over A5 for two pair and his opponent conceded the pot.

Yamagishi Takes it on the Turn

A player opened to 500 in middle position and Colten Yamagishi called next to act.

The flop came 972, and the preflop raiser check-called a bet of 500 from Yamagishi.

The 3 fell on the turn and once checked to, Yamagishi continued with another bet of 1,200. His opponent surrendered the pot.

"I had that kind of hand," Yamagishi said with a laugh as he pointed at the board and dragged the pot.

Cucchiara Runs Into a Bigger Pair

Frank Cucchiara, who gave away a Main Event seat to one of his social media followers, has himself entered the tournament here on Day 1d, but just dropped a pot to take an early hit.

Cucchiara and Anderson Huang went heads-up to the 6Q5 flop where Cucchiara checked, Huang fired out 2,600, and Cucchiara called.

Both players checked the A turn as the Q fell on the river. Cucchiara checked again.

"Okay," Huang said as he checked behind. Cucchiara turned over 99, but Huang had 1010 for the win.

"That was lucky," Huang said as he dragged in the pot.

A player raised to 500 in the hijack which saw Craig Trost call in the cutoff and James Hartigan call in the big blind.

The flop of 987 saw action check around to Trost who bet 600, which only Hartigan called.

Hartigan checked once more on the 3 turn to Trost, who sized up to 2,200 and Hartigan called once more.

The river of 9 checked through and Hartigan turned up JJ for jacks-up and it was good for the poker commentator to take down the pot.
