Artem Metalidi raised 80,000 at the cutoff and received calls from a player on the button and WSOP bracelet winner Long Ma, who was in the small blind.
The player in the big blind folded and the dealer fanned 7♦10♠K♦ on the flop.
Ma checked and Metalidi bet 180,000, which drew calls from the button and Ma.
The dealer then placed 6♥ on the turn and Ma led out with 300,000. Metaldi moved all in for his remaining 1,820,000 to put himself at risk.
The button folded and Ma immediately called.
Artem Metalidi: A♥A♠
Long Ma: 8♦6♦
Metalidi’s pocket aces were ahead, but he had a lot to dodge as Ma had multiple outs to a gutshot straight draw and a diamond flush draw.
The aces held after the 4♠ appeared on the river to give Metalidi a full double up.
Oscar Alache opened to 80,000 from under the gun, then Matthew Closs to his left three-bet to 200,000. Jean Lhuillier on the button went into the tank, and eventually shoved for 980,000. Alache folded, but Closs made the call.
Jean Lhuillier: K♣K♥
Matthew Closs: Q♠Q♥
The dealer fanned a board of 9♣6♦J♦7♥6♠ and secured a big double up for Lhuillier.
Action picked up on the flop in a hand between Juto Misaka, in middle position and Adam Rothschild, in the big blind.
With about 200,000 in the pot and the board reading 5♥Q♥10♥, Rothschild check-raised all-in over Misaka's continuation-bet of 100,000. Misaka, who had 345,000 behind, made the call putting himself at risk.
Juto Misaka: K♠K♦
Adam Rothschild: K♥9♦
Misaka needed to fade a jack or a heart to stay alive, and he did exactly that when the turn and river came the 9♣ and 5♠, respectively.
