2024 World Series of Poker
Vinicius Lima raised to 80,000 from late position and Alex Nguyen moved all in for 530,000 from the small blind.
The big blind went into the tank and eventually found the fold.
Lima asked for a count and took some time to decide whether he should call.
Ultimately, he mucked his hand for Nguyen to take the pot.
Blake Purvis moved all in from middle position for roughly 250,000, putting himself at risk. Wayne Harmon made the call in the cutoff, as did David Childs in the small blind.
The flop came 6♦J♣8♣, and Childs led out with a min-bet. Harmon put him all in for about 175,000 total, and Childs made the call, putting himself at risk.
Blake Purvis: A♣Kx
David Childs: 7♠7♥
Wayne Harmon: A♦8♦
The turn landed the 5♦ and the river brought the 9♦, giving Harmon the nut flush, eliminating both of his opponents.
Jeffrey Kurtz shoved for 405,000 from the hijack, then Melanie Pittard three-bet all in with a bigger stack from the button. She made the blinds fold.
Jeffrey Kurtz: A♥4♥
Melanie Pittard: K♠K♣
The board of 4♦7♥Q♣5♥2♠ was no help for Kurtz, who was eliminated.
Action picked up on a board showing 5♦8♥10♥9♠10♦ in a battle of the blinds between Andrew Ziskin and WSOP bracelet winner Toby Lewis.
Ziskin, who was in the big blind, had an 80,000 bet on the felt, and was waiting on Lewis to act.
Lewis, who was in the small blind, responded with a healthy 400,000 check-raise, which got Ziskin’s attention.
“How much is that?” Ziskin asked the dealer, who counted the chips and confirmed the amount.
Ziskin then went in the tank for up to a minute, shuffling chips with his right hand while staring at the board. Ziskin then looked at his opponent and folded.

David Childs raised to 70,000 from the cutoff and Ronnie Day chose to defend from the big blind.
The flop came 6♥J♥5♠ and Day checked to Childs. He fired for 85,000 and received a call from Day.
While the turn peeled off the 4♦, both players were quick to check.
The 3♦ completed the board and Day led out for 135,000. Childs took his time before he found the call. Day showed him the bad news as he revealed 4♠7♠ for a one line straight.
Action picked up on a board showing J♠10♠K♦3♠7♦ in a hand between Ting Zhou and Domyo Aqmelli.
Zhou bet 170,000 on the river, but then faced a 580,000 raise from Aqmelli, who had position on the button.
Aqmelli’s raise put Zhou in the tank, as she sat up in her chair to study the board, then shot glances across the table to her opponent.
After about a minute passed, Zhou made the call.
Aqmelli tabled A♠8♠ for the nut flush, resulting in Zhou immediately mucking her hand.
