Barshak Applies the Pressure

After a moment of thought, Mahajan folded and Barshak took down the pot.

Yet, the power duo of Kristen and Alex Foxen have both been soaring through Day 3 of the Monster Stack amassing chips and eliminations along the way. Alex recently found a chip up through a hero call.

Alex raised to 100,000 from early position and Joshua Jackson defended from the big blind.

The flop came 859 and both players were quick to check.

While the 3 peeled off on the turn, another round of checks occurred between the two players

When the 9 completed the board, Jackson led out for 125,000. After some consideration, Alex made the call. Jackson revealed AQ to be bested by Alex's 77.

Mackelprang Stays Put

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Dragana Mackelprang moved all in from under the gun for her remaining 595,000.

Action folded to a player in the small blind, who asked the dealer for a count. After the amount was confirmed, the player then three-bet all in, resulting in the big blind folding.

The hands were then tabled, with Mackelprang at risk.

The dealer fanned J6J on the flop, and Mackelprang begin packing up. The 9 on the turn opened a flush possibility for Mackelprang, but she continued packing and slowly rose from her chair.

The 7 on the river gave Mackelprang the nut flush and winning hand.

“Where are you going?” a player to Mackelprang’s immediate left joked.

Mackelprang gave a smile and sat back down as the dealer pushed the pot her way.

Vincent's Turn Bet Wins It

Action picked up on the turn in a hand between Michael Vincent, in the big blind and Nazar Buhaiov, in the cutoff.

With over 600,000 in the pot and the board reading J675, Vincent led out with a bet of 250,000.

After a moment of thought, Buhaiov folded, and the pot was pushed Vincent's way.

Brito Filters Through Chen

Action was caught on the river of the 38673 and Pete Chen was quick to check from the small blind.

Jose Carlos Brito bet 200,000 from the big blind.

Shortly after, Chen made the fold for Brito to take the pot.

Nasr Finds a Double Up

Action folded around to the big blind, where the player thought about it for a few moments before calling to put Nasr at risk.

The dealer fanned 25J, giving Nasr a comfortable lead. The A provided a sweat, as it gave Nasr’s opponent a gutshot straight draw.

The 9 on the river, though, gave Nasr the double up, plus the ante and small blind.

McGowan Takes it Down

Action picked up on the river in a hand between David McGowan in the big blind, and Bill Germanis in the hijack.

With about 450,000 in the pot and the board reading QQ297, McGowan led out with a bet of 275,000.

After some consideration, Germanis tossed his cards into the muck.

Fischer Chipping Up

Gonzalo Almada raised to 100,000 under the gun, and Seth Fischer called on the button.

The flop came 2Q6 and Almada continued with a bet of 125,000. Fischer called.

On the K turn, Almada bet again, this time for 250,000, and Fischer called.

The 8 river went check-check, and Alamada turned over AJ, for ace-high. Fischer tabled QJ, for a pair of queens, and scooped the pot.

Foxen Isn't Slowing Down
