Debs Wins at Showdown

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Yannick Capocetti opened 3,000 in the cutoff and both the small blind and Michael Debs in the big blind made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of JJ8 and the small blind check-folded to a bet of 3,000 from Capocetti, but Debs check-called.

The 10 fell on the turn, and Debs checked to Capocetti who continued with aggression as he tossed two red chips across the line for a bet of 10,000. Debs stuck around once again.

The dealer dropped the 4 on the river, and both players tapped the table. Debs rolled 109 for an open-ended straight draw that turned a ten, and Capocetti mucked his hand.

Michael Marder
Michael Marder

Michael Marder opened 3,000 under the gun and Benjamin Pollak put in a three-bet to 7,000 from a couple of spots to his left. The action folded back around to Marder and he thought about it for a few moments before saving his remaining 13,000. Pollak let him know it was a good fold by flashing AA.

The following hand, Pollak opened 3,500 and Veerab Zakarian called in the cutoff before Marder defended the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of 654 and Marder jammed his last 8,000. Pollak quickly got out of the way and Zakarian snap-called.

Michael Marder: A3 All in
Veerab Zakarian: 87

Marder flopped an open-ended straight draw but Zakarian had already flopped the nut straight. The K turn and 2 river improved him to a flush as Marder left the table.
