Guillermo Sanchez Otero opened to 1,000,000 from the cutoff before calling a three-bet to 4,000,000 from Niklas Astedt out of the big blind.

Astedt continued for 4,500,000 on the 8♥4♣6♠ flop but was unable to shake off Otero, who flatted.

Action checked through the 7♦ turn to the 3♦ where Astedt checked once more. Otero checked back and Astedt tabled Q♠3♠, which was good enough to take down a large pot.

Yake Wu opened to 1,000,000 from under the gun and Malcolm Franchi three-bet to 2,900,000 out of the big blind. Wu responded with a four-bet that would force Franchi all in with the Frenchman quickly calling off for his tournament life.

Everything looked set for a chop with not much changing on the A♣9♠7♣ flop. The J♣ turn suddenly made things uncomfortable for Franchi as he would need to fade the club on the river just to chop the pot.
