Schollhorn Wins Handsome Pot

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

The betting started with Cedrric Trevino raising in the hijack to 1,400 chips. Tyler Patterson, who has won a bracelet in a $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better event, made the call from the button. Lorenz Schollhorn jumped in for a taste from the big blind

When the flop hit 68J Schollhorn checked, Trevino bet 4,000. Patterson got out of the way before Schollhorn went all in with his last 22,400 chips.

Trevno called.

Cedrric Trevino: KK97

Schollhorn's two pair turned in the full boat on the turn 6, and the river brick 4 was meaningless, as he more than doubled up to take the table chip lead.

Hot on the back of his recent win in the $600 No-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha, which earned him his second WSOP bracelet along with $178,126, Tyler Brown is going hard in this event, trying to build a stack.

He is currently on his second bullet and will more than likely take the full allocation of two reentries should they be needed to give himself the best shot at going deep in today's event.

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

In a hand that bled two minutes into the break, Izotov Pavel went all in against Amin Hosein, on a flop of KJ9.

Izotov Pavel: QJJ2All in
Amin Hosein: KK33

Hosein had the clear advantage with the top set, while Pavel was in trouble with middle set and a backdoor flush that was no good. He needed a fourth jack or a ten to make a straight.

The river and turn came 69 and Pavel was done.
