With action starting early, Miguel Bermudez raised to 300 in middle position. Samuel Deering called from the button and Matthew Wolfson called in the big blind.
Each player elected to check on the flop of 10♣10♥8♠.
An interesting turn card brought more chips to the pot as the K♥ came off, Wolfson checked and Bermudez bet 800. Deering folded and Wolfson flicked in a call.
The river brought an A♠ and some fireworks as Wolfson bet 1,400. Bermudez threw in a 5,000 chip and announced a raise of 4,200. After a short moment of deliberation Wolfson folded.
"Nice hand," said Wolfson, as Bermudez quietly raked in the pot.

Mahir Cengil raised from under the gun to 300, and Justus Glover three-bet pot from early position to 1,200. August Schlegl called from the button as did Cengil.
All three players checked the J♦A♦J♥ flop and saw the J♠ come on the turn. Action was checked to Schlegl, who bet out for 2,000, Cengil called, and Glover folded.
The river brought the Q♥, and now both players checked the scary board. Cengil turned over A♦A♥Qx4♦ for a flopped full house, and Schlegl mucked his cards. A lovely flop for Cengil, but not so friendly turn with two other players involved in the pot.

All summer long, PokerNews will be offering updates from both the 25K Fantasy and ODB Fantasy leagues, which you can read in our dedicated hub here.
But did you know that you're also able to follow all the players from both leagues in our live updates? Every player drafted in the 25K Fantasy, as well as all the ODB Bonus players, have been tagged with special badges that allow you to visit out chip count page and filter by said badges. So, if all you want to see are players from those leagues and how they're doing, it's as simple as clicking the badges and then filtering.
What's more, each tournament has a "$25K Fantasy" tab at the top of the updates. Click that and all you'll see are hands played by players in the 25K Fantasy league.
PokerNews understands that when it comes to fantasy, some readers only care about their team, so we've made it simple to follow all your rostered players with a few simple clicks.
Check out this video to see the filtering options in action:
There were three knockouts in the first 10 minutes of play. Sven Rahmsdorf got it all in against Jonathan Bowers on a flop of 9♦9♥2♠.
Sven Rahmsdorf: 10♥9♣8♣8♥
Jonathan Bowers: J♦10♦9♠2♣
Bowers flopped a full house. Rahmsdorf had trips, but needed help.- The runout of J♥6♠ didn't bring the help he needed and he was out of the tournament.
A $1,000 buy-in, gone in 10 minutes.

In a three-bet pot, the flop read 8♣8♥3♦ and Karlo Gharabegian bet out the pot and was called by Louis Hillman. The turn saw the 2♥ come and now Gharabegian bet 3,500 and Hillman called.
The river brought the 3♠, and this time Gharabegian cranked it up and bet 7,000, which sent Hillman into the tank. He eventually called and tabled Q♦Q♣8♠K♥ for trip eights, and Gharabegian mucked his cards.

The starting stack is 20,000 chips, with the plan for Day 1 to play 17 40-minute levels. For the surviving players, Day 2 resumes at 12 p.m. on Saturday, with the level duration increasing to 60 minutes. A winner will be crowned on Day 3.

“It’s a strange day,” Vitch explained at the time as the date of his win marked two years since his mom passed. “It feels kind of incredible that it worked out that I won a random tournament on this day.”
