Kong Out After Three-Way Action

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Action was picked up as three players were all in and tabling their cards. Abteen Vaziri had his stack of 10,300 in front of him, Michael Kong with only 9,300 and Regan Duong with four 5,000 chips to cover all players in the hand.

Michael Kong: 10486All in
Abteen Vaziri: 101064All in
Regan Duong: AA24

Duong had both players in bad shape before and after a flop of 22J, flopping trip deuces to take a commanding lead looking for a double knockout.

A 8 hit the turn and gave Vaziri a heart flush draw. He needed a heart to stay alive on the river, with Kong drawing dead against his two opponents.

A miracle on fifth street for Vaziri came in the form of the 5 to complete his flush and send Kong to the rail. Doung took the remaining difference of the side pot.

Twos Did Not Tango

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Billy Tarango was all in against Thomas Cage.

Billy Tarango: A522All in
Thomas Cage: AAK7

The board runout 6KQ5J favored Cage, who hit the king-high flush, while Tarango was left with a pair of fives.

Double Knockout for Anderson

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

With over 6,000 already in the pot, the flop read 4810. William Meeks checked, as did Davin Anderson, but Christopher Perkins bet the pot. Meeks called and was all in, and then Anderson re-potted to 20,000, which, in fact, put him and Perkins all in. Perkins called.

Christopher Perkins: AK107All in
William Meeks:Q786All in
Davin Anderson: QJ98

The turn brought the 9 and made Anderson a straight, and when the 2 fell on the river, he scooped the monster pot and took out two players, who were sent to the reentry desk.

"Nice Catch, Buddy"

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

With a pot swelled to 6,200, Mike Dentale moved all his chips from the button into the middle to call the all in of Brennan Benglis from late position on a flop of 1010J. As the players tabled their cards, Dentale remarked:

"Nice catch, buddy," not knowing that he was in the lead before tabling their hands.

Michael Dentale: KK44All in
Brennan Benglis: AQ7J

Benglis flopped the world as he said, with a royal flush draw and the nut flush draw in diamonds but no pair. Dentale had his sole pair of kings looking to fade a diamond or an ace.

The turn brought a 5 which was no help for Benglis, with Dentale at risk with one card to come.

As the river card of 9 hit the river, Dentale doubled up, leaving Benglis with 10,000 behind. He was eliminated shortly after.

Kings Good for Yang

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With plenty of action before the flop and the pot already at over 5,000, the flop came J23. Kai Yang bet out from the small blind for 900 and got called by Tyson Sullivan from under the gun and Francesco De Luca in the cutoff.

The 7 came on the turn, and Yang led out for 3,300. Sullivan called, and De Luca folded. The river brought the 6 and Yang tossed out a 1,000 chip bet. Sullivan thought for a while before he made the call. Yang flipped over AKKJ, and his one pair was good.

Ford is Built Tough

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Joe Ford is having one heck of a WSOP, with four cashes, including a $136,855 haul from a second-place finish in the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better.

He was, however, short-lived on his first bullet in this one, and had had to reenter. His second shot is going better, as he has already nearly doubled his starting stack.

Three Jams; Boatman Banks

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Barny Boatman
Barny Boatman

The action picked as Fabian Riebau-Schmithals raised all in for 2,600 from under the gun. Cedrric Trevino announced a pot bet of 9,200 in late position, which left Barny Boatman to act on the button behind him. Boatman shoved all in for 25,600 and Trevino made the call for his remaining 11,000 behind and was at risk of his tournament life.

Fabian Riebau-Schmithals: KJJ6All in
Cedrric Trevino: AK37All in
Barny Boatman: AA88

Boatman had the best of it heading to a runout. A flop of 410Q gave Riebau-Schmithals a open-ended straight draw, Trevino a gut-shot straight draw with Boatman's rockets in the lead.

The turn of 9 gave Riebau-Schmithals a king-high straight and leaving Trevino looking for a jack to stay alive and eliminate his tablemate.

A river of 5 tripled up Riebau-Schmithals for the main pot, leaving Boatman best to take the relatively massive side pot.

Dragland Lands Nice Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Kyle Stein faced a tough, all-in decision with the flop of 6K8 staring at him. He took a chance.

Kyle Stein: KQQ10All in
Jay Dragland: 8655

The runout missed Stein completely and Dragland dragged the pot with two pair, eights and sixes.
