Tyler Cornell raised under the gun to 12,000, Bernd Gleissner called in the cutoff and Killian Desnos called in the big blind.
Cornell bet 13,000 on a flop of 3♥Q♣4♣, Gleissner called and Killian folded. Cornell bet 30,000 when the 8♠ hit the turn, Gleissner called again. Action went check-check on the 2♦, Gleissner tabled 9♦9♥ and scooped the pot.
The action started when Sebastian Mortelmans raised to 12,000 from the cutoff. To his immediate left Tetsuma Ishizu moved all in for 66,000 on the button. Asher Conniff had plans of his own by moving all in for 340,000 from the small blind. Mortelmans folded.
Tetsuma Ishizu: A♣4♣
Asher Conniff: A♠J♥
It was a battle of the aces before the flop, as three cards landed in the middle of the table 4♥8♥2♣ Ishizu took the lead with a pair of fours.
With a turn card of 10♦ not changing the lead for either player, Conniff needed a jack on the river to eliminate Ishizu.
A smooth 7♥ meant Ishizu doubled his chip stack as the dealer counted down his stack, Conniff threw in the matched bet with just six chips from his monster stack.
Ari Shin was in the small blind and raised it to 17,000, and Zackery Lowrie made the call in the big blind. The flop showed up with 6♣Q♣10♠ and both players checked.
The turn brought the same action as both players checked the 5♦.
On the river 7♣, Shin put out a feeler bet of 15,000, and Lowrie made a quick call to the disappointment of Shin. Shin tabled K♦10♠ and Lowrie showed 10♣8♣ for the flush.
Following a cutoff raise from Kenneth Hill to 14,000, Jakub Michalak jammed for 86,000. Hill made the call.
Jakub Michalak: A♥J♠
Kenneth Hill: K♦J♥
"I put you on ace rag" said Hill once he saw that he was dominated, but his mood changed when he took the lead on the 8♠K♠3♦ flop. Lookong for an ace or a backdoor draw, Michalak got some help on the 10♦ turn, but no queen came on the river. Instead, it was the A♠ keeping him alive and in with a chance of making the money.
Action was picked up as Paul Fisher was all in against Jonathan Wang.
Paul Fisher: A♠K♦
Jonathan Wang: A♣10♣
The flop was good for Fisher as it came 5♦7♦6♣, great turn as it came the 2♥ but a brutal 10♠ on the river eliminated him from the tournament.
