Fritz Bounces Back with Double Through Melki

Manuel Fritz announced he was all-in from under the gun right after losing a pot the previous hand. The table folded to Jack Melki in the big blind, who chose to call to send them to a showdown.

Both players caught a piece of the flop, but Fritz got the best of it when the flop fanned out 8AQ. The 9 turn gave Melki a gutshot, but the 9 river ended the hand in favor of Fritz, who secured a double and left Melki short-stacked.

Ausmus Wins Battle of the Blinds

Phong Nguyen raised to 9,000 from the small blind and was called by Jeremy Ausmus in the big blind.

The players saw a 7KQ flop, Nguyen bet 5,500, and Ausmus called.

The turn was the J Nguyen bet 11,000, and Ausmus then decided to go all in, having Nguyen covered. After taking a moment, Nguyen made the fold.

Justin Saliba opened up the action from middle position, with a raise to 8,000. Ori Hasson jammed from the button, before Paul Newey jammed over the top in the big blind. Saliba snapped, and cards were on their backs.

Akihiro Konishi went all in for 8,500 in under the gun. Brian Rast, in the early position, raised to 16,000 and found a caller in Lawrence Brandt in the big blind.

On the 1028 flop, Rast bet 17,000, and Brandt went all in for 77,900. Rast needed a bit to think about it, but made the call in the end, sending the cards on their backs.
