Maniable Puts Big Stack to Use

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Action was picked up with just under 9,000 in the pot, with a board reading 6K35. Nicolas Maniable bet 5,500 into the middle, and Alan Mulleady swiftly put in the call. Play was heads-up, so the river 2 was dealt.

Maniable wasted no time in carving out a huge stack, and placing it into the middle, which was more than enough to put Mulleady all in. Mulleady chuckled to himself, and took a few moments before finding the fold, putting Maniable above the six-figure mark.

Hector Berry
Hector Berry

Action was on a river of 954QA and Gavin Sardini had checked out of the small blind to Hector Berry.

Berry, who won the 2024 edition of the PokerNews Deepstack Championship, bet 2,000 and after some thought, Sardini called. Berry tabled A7 for a rivered pair of aces.

"Lucky," he said to Sardini. "I was ahead on the flop. You on the turn and then me on the river."

Sardini said nothing, but nodded in agreement.
