2025 World Series of Poker
The players have gone on their second 20-minute break of the day.
Here below are some of the highlights of the past two hours.
Lawrence Brandt raised to 800 from under the gun and was called by Remi Derossi from directly behind, Louis Barlow from middle position, Doron Reuveni from the hijack, Laurence Stein from the cutoff, Haim Gabay on the button, James Leonard in the small blind, and Justin Allen in the big blind. (Philip Sternheimer sat in silence as the only player who folded.)
It was folded to Brandt on the A♦2♠7♣ flop and he continued for 1,200. Everyone folded except Gabay and Allen, who both called.
Action checked through on the 5♦ turn and then Allen led out for 12,000 on the 7♠ river. Brandt and Gabay quickly folded to award Allen the pot.
Erick Lindgren raised in early position to 700, which garnered calls from Nick Vavalle in the cutoff and the player in the small blind.
All three players checked the 8♣10♠K♣ flop before Lindgren picked up the betting lead again on the 4♦, with a wager of 1,500. Vavalle called, and the small blind player folded.
Lindgren continued with a bet of 4,500 on the A♠ river, which was met with a raise from Vavelle to 12,000.
After taking some time to consider his options, Lindgren returned his cards to the dealer. "Suspicious", Lindgren said, as the pot was being pushed in the direction of his opponent.
Jeffrey Blenkarn had raised on the button when Kim Wittendorff promptly piled in his stack of 40,600 from the big blind. Blenkarn spent a bit in the tank before he folded, showing the A♠ as he did so.
Wittendorff casually tabled the 6♦, raking in the chips without showdown.
There were roughly 11,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 5♦4♦7♣, Edward Hughes who was in the big blind led for 2,300, Morgan Mcbrayer folded under the gun, Joseph Barrett called in the cutoff and Ignacio Tartaglia folded in the small blind.
Action slowed down as Hughes check-called a bet of 6,500 when the 6♥ hit the turn, and both players checked on the J♠ river.
Hughes tabled two pair with 5♣4♣, and he scooped the pot.
David McGowan limped in from the small blind and Katie Swift checked from the big blind.
The flop came A♣6♣5♠. McGowan bet 500 and Swift called.
McGowan check-called a 500 bet from Swift on the 6♥ turn before check-calling a 1,200 bet from Swift on the K♠ river. Swift turned over trips with 6♠2♥ to win the hand.
Paulo Drummond raised from middle position with David Baldanza calling from the small blind, and Gunner Stever defending his big blind.
After two checks, Drummond bet 1,200, which both Baldanza and Stever called.
The 8♥ turn prompted another two checks, and another bet from Drummond, this time for 3,000. Baldanza called, but Stever folded.
Heads-up to the 5♠ river where Baldanza check-folded to Drummond's third barrel of 5,000.
