Action was picked up on the flop in a pot between Antonio Payne in the big blind and Jovanni Bernal in late position.

With 19,500 in the middle and a board reading 8♠7♦3♦4♥, Payne bet 12,500 and Bernal put in the chips to call.

Payne sized up to 27,000 on the river K♠ and Bernal whipped his cards into the muck, seeing Payne grow to over 200,000.

Liu Smacks the River to Double

Renmei Liu and Sachin Joshi built a pot of around 20,000 as they went heads-up to the 7♦Q♥4♣ flop. Joshi then bet 7,200 from the big blind and Liu called in middle position.

The turn was the 3♣ and Joshi bet 15,200. Liu snap-shoved for 44,500, and Joshi quickly called.

Liu had A♣Q♣ for top pair and a flush draw, but he needed to improve against Joshi's K♦K♥. The 8♣ river gave him his flush and earned Liu the double up.

Brendon Kaufman is also at this table and sitting on a stack of around 250,000.

In a three-way pot, the flop read 9♣J♥3♥ when Luis Concha checked to Ivan Ermin who bet 4,200. Kohei Arai made the call and so did Concha.

The 3♣ paired the board on the turn and it checked again to Ermin who sent 9,500 in the middle. This time only Arai called to stay in the pot.

The A♣ completed the board and Ermin sent a third barrel for 12,500. After some thinking, Arai called. Ermin tabled A♦J♦ for top two pair but Arai revealed Q♣J♣ for the flush and took down the pot.

There were only two players left to the J♦9♥8♦ flop with nearly seventy big blinds in the middle when Michael Schulz in late position declared all-in. Jacques Correa Ortega on the button asked or a count and the shove was deemed to be for 47,300 total, which the Brazilian called with the covering stack.

The 8♥ turn gave Schulz a flush draw of his own and the J♣ river paired the board for the second time to result in a split pot.

Action folded around to Dakota Baggett opened to 2,300 from the button and only Jared Bluestein called.

The 10♥2♣4♠ flop was bet by Baggett to 2,200 and Bluestein folded.

In the next hand Baggett opened to 2,300 from the cutoff and Curtis Nare defended the big blind.

The 10♣K♥10♣ flop was bet 2,200 by Baggett and Nare called.

Baggett bet 8,500 on the 6♥ turn, and Nare called again.

Players checked down the 3♥ river to showdown with Baggett showing Q♦7♥ which was good enough to take the pot as Nare mucked.

With 14,000 already in the pot, Sarkis Akopian and Jichen Sheng were battling blind versus blind.

Big blind Jichen Sheng had a bet in front of him totalling 8,400, but had been met by a raise to 63,700. The raise had Sheng's stack of 25,000 more covered, and as such, he was deciding for his tournament life.

After a few minutes had passed, another player at the table called the clock on Sheng. The floor was called, and the clock started ticking down.

"Three, two, one..." the tournament director advised, and Sheng flicked his cards back towards the dealer.

On the turn 9♣, Sileo checked over to Kaskorkis who bet 5,000 again and this time Sileo folded.

As he was pushed the pot, Kaskorkis showed Q♣Q♠ for a pair of queens, with Sileo saying he folded ace-king.
