Jauregui Gets Paid With Boat

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Only Alejandro Jauregui and Sorin Cristea were still with cards as action got to the river, with the board reading J8377. Jauregui bet big, choosing a sizing of 30,000 into the 33,000 in the middle.

Cristea deliberated for a while over his decision, before eventually flicking in a single chip to represent a call. Jauregui showed 88 for a full house. Cristea mucked.

Greenwood Eliminated by Fares

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Lucas Greenwood
Lucas Greenwood

Action folded around to Hassan Fares in the small blind who open-jammed for 142,000. Lucas Greenwood was in the big blind and took some time, before picking up a stack of chips to make the call, putting himself at risk for his remaining ~83,000.

Lucas Greenwood: QQAll in
Hassan Fares: KK

The A25 flop didn't help Greenwood, and he stood from the table as the 10 came on the turn.

Greenwood was eliminated after the 7 river was placed, stacking up Fares.

Big Slick Versus Queens... But Not

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jacques Ortega
Jacques Ortega

Jacques Ortega raised in middle position to 2,500 and action folded to Marijan Rankic in the big blind. Rankic responded with a three-bet to 11,000, and in unusual circumstances, this is where the hand ended.

After Rankic had put the chips out for his three-bet, the dealer instinctively pulled in his cards, adding them to the pile of already mucked cards.

The pot was heads-up, but only one player had cards.

The floor was called, and they ruled that Ortega would win the pot, as the last player with an active hand. Rankic, though, would receive some leniency given the circumstances, and was only forced to pay the 2,500 initial raise.

There were no complaints at the table with regard to the ruling.

Rankic advised it was pocket queens that had been pulled into the muck. "Queens?" asked Ortega, "I had ace-king".

"Maybe it was good for me then", responded Rankic, with both players having avoided the inevitable coin flip.

Zhang Gets Value on Sanders

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The flop read QJ4 in a three-bet pot when Scott Sanders check-called Yu Zhang for 4,500.

The 7 hit the turn and Sanders didn't take long to check-call again, this time for 11,000.

The Q paired the board on the river and Sanders checked. Zhang decided to bet 36,000 and after some thinking, Sanders called but only to muck when he saw JJ in Zhang's hand for a full house.

Lim Gets Aggressive

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Chin Wei Lim raised to 2,200 from early position and found calls from Joao Biancolini in middle position, Kazuya Watanabe in late position, and Brad Brown in the big blind.

The flop came 3J3, and it was checked to Lim, who continued for 4,000. Brown was the only caller. The turn brought the 7, and Brown checked to Lim, who bet 15,000 now. Brown folded, and Lim's aggression won him the pot uncontested.

Brian Carraher raised to 2,000 on the button and Shane Rose three-bet to 8,000 in the small blind. Carraher called and the dealer fanned the flop of QQ3. Rose continued with a bet of 4,000 and Carraher called.

The turn was the K and both players checked to the 8 on the river. Rose tossed in a bet of 10,000 and Carraher flicked in a chip to call. Rose flipped over 76 for complete air while Carraher held 99 to claim the pot.

Nakai's Kings Frustrates Alkhuzai

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Hussni Alkhuzai started the action from the button by raising to 2,100 and got a three-bet from big blind Ryuta Nakai to 8,000. Alkhuzai called.

The flop dropped 6102 which both players checked. Nakai led out with a 6,000 bet on the turn K sending Alkhuzai to the tank. After a few seconds, he called.

On the river 3, Nakai fired 21,100 and Alkjuzai snap- called. Nakai turned over KK for a set, visibly upsetting Alkhuzai, who threw his hand in the muck pile.
