Sonehara Busts Mccarty

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jordan Mcallister opened from under the gun to 2,500, Kazunari Sonehara called from the cutoff and Daniel Dayan also called on the button. Diane Mccarty three-bet to 12,500 and got a single call from Sonehara.

The AJ3 flop was bet by Mccarty to 20,000 and Sonehara called.

A 3 was turned and Mccarty moved all in for her remaining 96,100 stack.

Sonehara called and showed JJ for a boat. Mccarty flipped over KK and was behind, and looked to the river for some help.

There was no King to save Mccarty on the 9 river, and she was left to walk away from the tournament.

Heaton Applies Maximum Pressure

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Three players headed to a turn with a pot worth roughly 23,000 in the middle, and the flop action complete on the 544 board.

The dealer burned and turned the 7 turn, and Kenneth Heaton, in the big blind, placed a bet of 17,500. The player who started the hand under the gun folded, but Nicholas Beecher called from middle position.

When the river came the 10, Heaton applied the maximum pressure possible. Covering his opponent's stack, he moved all in, a bet worth an effective 47,300.

Beecher then spent some time in the tank, piecing together the action. Ultimately, he decided a fold was in order and tossed his cards towards the muck.
