Fei Can't Shake Gotez

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Wesley Fei
Wesley Fei

Pamela Gotez raised to 2,600 in the small blind and in the big blind, Wesley Fei called.

Both players checked the 6K7 flop to the A turn where Gotez bet 4,000.

Fei responded with a raise to 11,000, prompting Gotez to call and both players checked the 2 river.

Gotez tabled AQ for a pair of aces and it was good for the pot as Fei mucked.

Manolio Continues the Spin-up

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Julian Manolio
Julian Manolio

Joseph Tauber and Julian Manolio were heads-up to a flop of A610 when Manolio bet 6,000 into a pot of around 44,000. Manolio just called, leading the dealer to put out the 9 on the turn. Tauber slowed down with a check, as Manolio took the initiative. He chose a sizing of 24,000. Tauber asked how much, and quickly slid in a calling chip.

The 5 peeled off on the river, and Manolio bet again, this time for 63,000, when checked to. Tauber didn't take too long, again, before calling. Manolio showed the goods, as he was holding AA. Tauber showed the J before going to muck. He then revealed his other card, the A before finally doing so. He stood up and muttered an expletive.

Manolio now has over four starting stacks, despite not registering until halfway through Level 6.
