Stephen Klaamas raised to 4,000 and Arman Bezhanyan called next to him. Martin Gerloff three-bet to 14,000 on the button and it was called by Giovanni Zanette in the big blind and Bezhanya.
The trio saw a flop 6♦2♦6♠ and Zanette checked to Bezhanya who bet 12,000. Gerloff raised it to 85,000 and it folded to Bezhanya who tanked and eventually folded.
Gerloff tabled A♠A♦ before grabbing the pot.
Omid Nikzad raised to 4,500 in middle position, Scott Lazar three-bet to 12,000 in the hijack, and Nikzad called.
Both players checked the 2♠J♠2♥ flop. Nikzad then bet 13,000 on the 4♣ turn and Lazar called.
Nikzad bet another 19,000 on the 5♣ river and Lazar snap-called with K♥K♦. Nikzad mucked 7♠7♣ and Lazar, who is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his Main Event final table run, took the pot.
Phil Hellmuth raised to 6,000 from the hijack and was called by Santiago Montes in the big blind.
Both players checked on the K♦10♠K♣ flop and then Hellmuth called a 4,000 bet from Montes on the 3♣ turn.
The Q♠ completed the board and Montes checked to Hellmuth, who announced a bet of 14,000.
Montes went deep into the tank and then flashed Ax10x before sending his hand into the muck.
"Show me the bluff," Montes told Hellmuth.
Hellmuth tabled A♣J♣ for Broadway.
"I bet too much!" Hellmuth lamented. "Eight thousand..."
On the river of a 10♠10♣9♥8♠6♠ board, Mark Remnant bet 20,000. He only needed to get through Alexis Kivu but he called. Remnant tabled his A♦Q♦ and that was beaten by the Q♥J♥ for a queen-high straight by Kivu.
Action folded to Robert Grossglauser on the button, who put in a standard raise, but as quick as a flash, he and Hyung Sun Jung, the big blind, had their full stacks in the middle.
Grossglauser had the bigger of the two stacks, but barely. Sun Jung was all in for 41,000, and Grossglauser had a stack of 50,000.

An ice-cold cooler in the last level of the day, and it was Grossglauser on the unenviable end of it.
The board ran out a very safe 5♦5♥8♥8♦Q♠, giving Sun Jung a late-night double-up.
With the day's play nearing its close, there are a good few big stacks starting to emerge in the 500,000 and over range.
Long Nguyen and Collin Ball arrived at the river, with just under 200,000 chips in the middle. The 3♥J♦9♦3♦10♥ board completed straights, the diamond flush, and was paired, too. Nguyen threw in four green 25,000 denomination chips, which was more than enough to put Ball all in.
Ball took a decent chunk of time before deciding that it wasn't worth risking his tournament life, and he mucked. It seemed as though Nguyen was going to show, and he did. He flipped over 6♠5♠ which had the other players, especially Ball, in disbelief, as it was completely contrary to the image he had garnered at the table. Ball offered him a "nice hand."
