Late-Night Double for Polk

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Doug Polk raised to 4,000 from the hijack and Randall Emmett defended from the big blind. The flop came 832 and Emmett check-called a bet of 3,500 from Polk.

The turn brought the 7 and Emmett checked again. Polk counted out a bet of 9,000 and Emmett quickly called to see the 10 on the river. Emmett checked for the third time and Polk jammed all in for 28,000 which Emmett snapped off.

Polk threw his hands in the air and celebrated after he turned over J9 for the nuts to score a late-night double-up.

Christian Cheng: A8 All in
Ari Shin: KQ

Set Over Set Sends Erarte to the Rail

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Carlos Erarte raised it up in the hijack and Benedetto Bianco three-bet from the cutoff. Erarte just called and the dealer fanned the flop of AJ10. The two players quickly got all of their chips in the middle and it was Erarte at risk for around 50,000.

Carlos Erarte: JJAll in
Benedetto Bianco: AA

Both players flopped a set but it was Bianco who was in charge with his set of aces. The 4 and 7 runout did not provide Erarte with the one outer that he needed in order to stay alive.

Alders Wins Small

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Caputo opened to 3,000 from the hijack and Yosef Kamil called from late position. John Alders also defended the big blind, and the players went three-ways to the 652 flop.

Alders checked, Caputo bet 13,000 and only Alders called.

The 10 turn was checked to the J river and then again to showdown.

Caputo mucked after seeing Alders show 56. Alders took the pot having flopped two pair.

Brown Puts Some Pressure on Hu

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Mengting Hu raised from the button to 4,500, and Landon Brown called from the small blind.

Both players checked the A56 flop and saw the Q drop on the turn. Brown bet out for 9,000 and Hu called.

The 5 peeled off on the river and now Brown bet out for 20,500, which sent Hu deep into the tank for a few minutes before she released her cards, sending the pot to Brown with no showdown.

Late Night Double

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Ginter raised to 5,000 from the cutoff before Brett McCollum three-bet to 30,000 from the button. A curious big blind took a look at the three-bettor's stack as if planning something, but after a moment or two, elected to fold.

Action then returned to Ginter, who moved all in for 39,000, and McCollum called.

Michael Ginter: AQ All in
Brett McCollum: K10

It was a good runout for Ginter, who improved to trips on the 32A10A board, and received a full double-up from his neighbour.

Julien Sitbon made it 4,000 to go from middle position and only Changle Lin called from the cutoff.

Both players checked the 1086 flop to see the J fall on the turn. Sitbon bet 10,000, which Lin called.

Sitbon put Lin all in for his last 44,500 on the 6 river, and after a few moments of thinking, Lin called for his tournament life.

Sitbon turned over top pair with KJ, but lost to Lin's slowplayed aces holding AA.

Scalfaro Fills Up and Gets Paid

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Jacob Haller opened to 4,500 from early position and Andrew Yurchak called in middle position. Daniel Scalfaro, fresh off his victory in the $250 Daily Deepstack late last night for over $20,000, called in the cutoff, as did Charles Russell in the big blind.

The 1074 flop checked through to the 8 turn which saw Russell lead for 4,000 from the big blind. Haller folded and Yurchak called before Scalfaro raised to 12,000. Russell then three-bet the turn to 30,000, Yurchak folded, and Scalfaro called.

Russell then checked on the 8 river before Scalfaro put out a sizeable bet of 60,000, sending Russell into the tank.

"I don't know if I can fold this one," Russell lamented before he eventually tossed in a chip to call. He got the bad news as Scalfaro tabled 87 for a rivered full house which was good to drag a massive pot as Scalfaro's rungood continues.
