Buchman Keeps the Pressure Early

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Jonathan Tare opened for 6,600 from middle position and got called by Eric Buchman on the button taking both players to the flop.

The dealer flopped A49. Tare check-called Buchman's bet of 6,500 leading them to the turn.

After a check on the turn K, Buchman bet 9,000 and Tare decided to raise to 22,000. Without wasting any time, Buchman called.

Both players saw the river drop 5 and on the third check, Buchman pushed all-in for 23,400 sending Tare to the tank.

Tare looked at his chips and was in deep thought. He decided to fold his hand and concede the pot to Buchman.

Grigorev Heats Up in the Ice Box

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

While many players are sitting with big hoodies and parkas in an attempt to protect themselves from the cold air being blown down from the air conditioners, Michail Grigorev was just getting warmed up on the first hand of the day.

Gabriel Megda raised it up from middle position and Grigorev defended from the big blind. The flop came 532 and both players checked to the 4 on the turn.

Grigorev checked again and Megda flicked in a bet of 1,000. Grigorev check-raised to 4,000 and Megda stuck around for the 2 on the river. Grigorev sized up a bet of 12,000 and Megda gave it some thought but decided to lay his hand down.

Meehan Takes a Hand

Thomas Meehan
Thomas Meehan

Ioannis Panagopoulos raised to 2,000 in early position. Patrick Wade made the call form middle position. Thomas Meehan defended his big blind with a call.

The flop hit Q8K, and Panagopoulos continued with a bet of 2,500. Wade and Meehan called.

The turn brought the 4, and this time Meehan fired first, betting 10,000. Panagopoulos and Wade folded.

Meehan, who has limited mobility because of ALS, had the help of Jason Steinart, a friend from his hometown Chelsea, Mich.

Steinart moves the cards dealt to Meehan to an angled wooden block, so he can peak at each hand. Meehan plays the hands by himself and folds on his own by sliding the cards down the ramp.

Steinart rakes in the chips when Meehan wins a pot.
