Shaw Eliminated by Holtzman

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Carl Shaw
Carl Shaw

Guy Holtzman raised to 60,000 and earned one caller in Yulian Bogdanov from the very next seat. Carl Shaw then jammed his last 445,000 from the cutoff and all active players behind folded. Holtzman announced all-in himself and first cut out the 445,000 of Shaw, which left approximately another 305,000 behind.

Bogdanov mulled it over for a few seconds and folded.

Carl Shaw: QJ All in
Guy Holtzman: AQ

The K65 flop changed nothing since neither player had a spade in their hand. Shaw picked up a gutshot with the 9 turn but the 2 river sealed his fate.

Gardes Sank by Montes

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Josselin Gardes
Josselin Gardes

Santiago Montes raised to 65,000 from early position and Josselin Gardes defended from the big blind.

The flop came 924 and after Gardes checked, Montes bet 50,000. Gardes then shoved for 210,000, and Montes quickly called.

Josselin Gardes: 103 All in
Santiago Montes: AK

Gardes was drawing slim, and even slimmer when the A landed on the turn. Only a five on the river could keep Gardes alive, but the 6 wasn't what he needed, which ended his Main Event run.
